What are you reading?

Just wrapped about Jeff Pearlman's bio on Bo Jackson. A far cry from the Dick Schaap bio from the 90's. He was one of my favorite athletes growing up. If definitely puts him in a different light

Just finished the Hot Seat by by Ben Mathis-Lilley. If you like college football this is a great book. Now starting Flags on the Bayou by James Lee Burke

Hey @Hank Kingsley did you or maybe someone tell me about Bernard Cornwell’s “Sharpe” series? I just read the first two (chronological) and really like (not love) them.

Gearing up for my next significant read: the massive two volume biography of Sir William Osler.

I may have. I’ve read them all. They’re sort of his version of John D. MacDonald’s Travis McGee, meaning not as gritty as his heavier stories.

I recommend Cornwell’s King Arthur trilogy, first book is called The Winter King.

And I have now read every one of the Gear’s books. And also every Leaphorn and Chee novel written by Tony Hillerman.

I want to start reading Cornwell's War Lord Trilogy but it will have to wait. I just started book 3 of Ken Follett's Century Trilogy, Edge of Eternity. What a fucking great series. I like it as much as Pillars.

Yep, I hung on every word of both series and can’t wait for the next Pillars.

I never referred to the Arthur trilogy as the War Lord Trilogy before.

More people know who Babe Ruth is than know who George Ruth is. Just because you're named something doesn't mean you are called that.

All you Follett fans, should I start with Key to Rebecca, or Eye of the Needle? Or pick up one of his later works?

Regardless, I was just sayin'. Its just a conversation.

In case you thought I was handing down tablets, I wasn't. I was actually excited to have another Cornwell trilogy to read, then I found out I already read it.

Anyone read Norman Mailer's "The Executioner's Song"? I can get a first edition paperback for $20 and am tempted to go for it.

Just picked this book up. Was told it was really good, looking forward to reading it after I finish my book about surviving living with a narcissist.
