If this were the old NCAA that had some teeth, it'd get 'em another death penalty. With today's NCAA you are probably 100% correct.Hell if I know. Its cal and stanford that I think are more laughable. SMU has deep pockets. Maybe in a bigger conference they will be willing to put in the resources to be a legitimate program. But I really doubt it.
Can't wait for the highly anticipated Syracuse @ Cal game.

9 years of no Media revenue. they will still get all other money distributed through the conference from bowls and march madness and such.So 9 years of no revenue for SMU. The current ACC teams pocket the money.

SMU can be really good.. especially now in a P4 conference.. they will get a lot of players in that area to stay.. also, they have some really wealthy guys who love that program..I legitimately don't' understand how SMU is sneaking into all of this? And why are they adding an odd number of teams? How are they getting invites over the remaining Pac teams?
you sound jealousSo the rich SMU daddy buys a spot on the team for Jr. who is a joke. Better put him in right field and pray no one hits the ball to him.
I can’t imagine anyone would leave a stable conference to form a new PAC unless the money was there to make it worth it and the money will not be there.Mountain West should be adding OSU and WSU soon. should they go after anyone from the AAC now that they lost SMU? UTSA? Tulane? Memphis? Tulsa?
does the AAC add anyone to get numbers even again?
both conference have scrapped divisions so odd or even numbers dont matter as much
Why would the ACC agree to that when they could get 6 games out of ND?Now that Stanford is a member, I'm guessing ND pushes to make that one of the 5 games they need to play against the league on an every year basis, which will open up another game for them.

Stanford vs. ND typically does pretty good ratings wise too. Big win for ND!![]()

That's what I was about to say. I'm betting ND is now going to have a 6th game. Why would the ACC agree to that when they could get 6 games out of ND?
I’m betting ND agreed to the 6th game (Stanford) to get them in.

Pretty sure i asked about the MWC not the Pac.I can’t imagine anyone would leave a stable conference to form a new PAC unless the money was there to make it worth it and the money will not be there.
