I really don't see the issue with this.

It's not uncommon in a blowout to let your starters open the 2nd Half for a series.

I don't get PAC 12 Network, but as far as I can tell Nix opened the 2nd Half for one series before being replaced.

Oregon rushed for 348 yds on 34 carries (10.2 YPC), so that would affect Nix's Passing Yards, TD's, etc.

Would I prefer for them to have plenty of game film to work on things for next weekend? Also yes.

You learn more watching your O go against your own D than you do against a team that basically falls down at the snap from being way overmatched.

I honestly don't believe any top flight team 'learns' anything about their squad in one of these. Maybe if you are a bad rebuilding team you can get something? But not a ranked team.

Whatever college football is going to end up being after this transition into a pay to play era and the shakeup of the top conferences, I hope it ends at outlawing these kinds of games. Play someone with a pulse or don't play.

Oregon played Portland St. last week, a FCS team. Montana is a FCS team, so my guess is Oregon plays Montana.
