I did enjoy seeing our rookie tackle (Wright) fucking obliterate him at the pylon there tho. Pretty sure he left the game after that hit.
Ok dude. Whatever. Seems like fucking stupid semantics to me, but you keep blowing that horn.Dominated in the trenches happens each week in the NFL. This was like watching pros vs. high schoolers. Love had all day to throw every time, and GB was getting constant penetration without hardly having to blitz. FFS the entire line was called for a penalty one time, and Jones had like 3 flags called just on him.
Yes, I know the play you're talking about and I admitted Fields missed some guys downfield, but it's not like Fields is afraid to throw downfield. It's one of his strengths. It's hardly news that Getsy constantly relies on screens and doesn't like to attack downfield, and that was evident again. Fields didn't help himself many times yesterday, but you're not going to get a QB to come in that's going to win that game yesterday.
I mean he was injured.Almost all of the starters left the game after that pick 6.
Possible concussion. I liked that Walker bounced off the first contact and reversed field like it was intentionalI mean he was injured.
If Love plays as well as he did yesterday, they will win 12 games.
But, did he play that well because it was the Bears?
Call it what you want but if this is the OL/DL play we're going to get this year, it doesn't matter if Fields improves or not, it's gonna be another horrible season.Ok dude. Whatever. Seems like fucking stupid semantics to me, but you keep blowing that horn.
Again, was that Love's talent or the Bears' deficiencies?I
Normally, I would take "probably" as an answer to that question, but I was encouraged by Love's handling of 3rd & 4th downs - the do-or-die pressure downs. For now, I'm going with "maybe". We'll see what happens in the upcoming games.
Cool. Let's see Bagent then.Call it what you want but if this is the OL/DL play we're going to get this year, it doesn't matter if Fields improves or not, it's gonna be another horrible season.
We need more evidence. "Maybe" stands for now and I'm not so sure that will sway too much against Atlanta either. We should learn more when the Saints and Lions come to town.Again, was that Love's talent or the Bears' deficiencies?
I also noticed the Pack "spied" Fields a lot. Kept a middle lineback at the line of scrimmage to contain any gut escape lanes.
That's one thing GB D's have been terrible at for a decade. It was refreshing to finally be able to reasonably contain a running QB with a competent spy. GB's outside containment broke down a few times, though, and whiffed on some free shots at Fields in the backfield.I also noticed the Pack "spied" Fields a lot. It just seems we didn't do that in the past going back to when Kapernick torched us in the Championship Game. When you have a glorified running back playing QB, it makes sense to put a spy on him.
This is the kind of hyper-idiotic shit that keeps teams like the Bears in constant limbo at the QB position. Fields has played a little over 1.5 seasons' worth of games so far with no coaching consistency to speak of, and definitely no intelligent coaching in terms of his development, but you're ready to move on to a guy that once played decently vs. the Colts 2nd string defense?Cool. Let's see Bagent then.
Sorry bruh, but your boy is habitually late. He holds onto the ball too long and it disrupts the entire offense. I would fucking HATE to play o-line or WR with Fields at the helm.
I really like the kid, and want to see him succeed, but I'm not seeing anything 3 years in, that indicates he will.
It would have been nice to have more containment on the outside, but you have to give Fields some credit for his talent. That's one thing GB D's have been terrible at for a decade. You're not seeing anything? Despite having an awful OL, no weapons anywhere, and incompetent coaching, he put the entire offense on his back last year and played way better than almost anyone else would have in his position. Like I said, you bring Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, or whatever other QB from the draft in here and the same conversation is happening in 2026.
Hey, now. This is a Fuck the Bears thread. Let's stay on topic.go fuck yourself
