New B10 schedules released for 2024 and uh...

OSU getting 1 while Michigan gets 3 seems weird....especially in a year where we play Texas in the OOC.
It is weird but 2 out of 3 are at home for you guys where we get Oregon and Penn State away.

Michigan will definitely end up with the harder schedule bc of OOC though. Ohio States took a year off but then goes back to normal with Texas followed by Bama

I've wondered all along why more conferences don't do what the SEC does with that late season pushover. And at the risk of going full-conference-homer, what you are feeling now is what the SEC has dealt with. The seasons that A&M had LSU + Bama + UGA +whichever of the Mississippi program is decent that year plus the requirement of trying to find a good OOC P5 opponent. And heaven help you if UF or Tennessee finds lightning in a bottle.
If you aren't one of the elite programs in the B1G East or SEC West, you are going to have loaded schedules, as it gives you one more elite program to play. Teams in the B1G East have to play Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State a lot of years. While it isn't Bama and Georgia -- it is still a loaded schedule.

has to be. And we'll be replacing most of our team after this year too. Yay! We'll be lucky to go 9-3.
In 2016, OSU replaced nearly every major contributor from the 2014/2015 seasons. That year, we also faced 4 teams in the final top 10, going 3-1 with an extremely narrow loss to Penn State, finishing 11-1. If Harbaugh is actually a good coach, you shouldn't need any excuses not to get 10/11 wins.

Real question should be:

How long until other conferences are fed up with 7-8 from the SEC and B1G make up the 12 team CFP, as no team outside those conferences will get an at large bid, as no team outside those conference will have strength of schedules remotely near teams in those two conferences.

So it will essentially be -- win your conference to get an auto bid or you aren't getting into the CFP.

Probably feel bad for Ohio State after the beat downs you put on them the last 2 years

At some point, you are going to realize..........Michigan doesn't recruit like OSU. Michigan doesn't have 5 star recruits backing up other 5 star recruits. If Michigan signs a 5 star recruit -- they usually end up starting immediately, outside of QB.

We won't be terrible, as we have a very deep team, but what we will lose at QB and RB, as well as the OL and LB -- we will be a top 20 type team, but not a top 5 team. To go a step further -- we don't even have a clue who our QB will be next year, and unlike OSU, who had a 5 star QB waiting in the wings -- UM does not have that.

Holy Christ Washington's travel schedule for next season.

But since the conferences are full of perpetual powerhouses, winning the conference isn't as daunting a task so it all evens out. And if someone like A&M decides we could compete better then by going to an easier conference then maybe in 6-7 years we are looking at splintering of the B1G and SEC

It looks like you guys got JJ and then just said "to hell with QB recruiting" for the next two years. I wouldn't be shocked if you went into the portal for one if Denegal isn't the guy.

They are absolutely going to have to hit the portal for a decent experienced QB if JJ goes pro after this year (chances are he does) unless they just want to throw Davis into the fire. Denegal is a depth player, if he's starting all season Michigan is in big trouble. I'd expect they do absolutely hit the portal for someone, even if they arent elite they need a experienced at least serviceable QB.

Are you absolutely certain JJ is gonna go? I know people have him projected as a 1st rounder but I gotta imagine he has to start showing more this season for that to stick. He isnt an athletic freak like Richardson

Can't complain about schedules and boast about that media rights cash at the same time.

For the two getting just $30 million/yr + $1 million/yr raise through 2030.....

Oregon

2024: Michigan, Ohio St, UCLA, Washington, (Wisconsin?)
2025: Penn St, Washington, USC, (Wisconsin?)
2026: Michigan, Ohio St, USC, UCLA, Washington, (Nebraska?)
2027: Michigan, Ohio St, Penn St, UCLA, Washington, (Nebraska?)

Washington

2024: Penn St, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, USC
2025: Michigan, Ohio St, UCLA, Oregon, (Wisconsin?)
2026: Penn St, Oregon, USC, (Nebraska?)
2027: Penn St, Oregon, USC, (Nebraska)

Who knows where these programs will be going forward with current first year or interim coaches, so I question them as big tv games for Oregon/Washington. They're all currently hot garbage.

Nebraska (Rhule)
Wisconsin (Fickell)
Purdue (Walters)
Northwestern (Current Interim)
Michigan St (Current Interim).

NFL Doesn't care about stats. If the Arm talent is there they will take you. McCarthy is athletic enough, maybe not a freak like Richardson but good enough.

The only thing that could knock him down a few pegs is if he played like dog shit against Ohio State & Ped State

Huh?

Ain't nobody giving up the Big 10/SEC payouts voluntarily.
