It is against the rules to scout future opponents in person. They’re being investigated for doing something that isn’t against the rules?

Harbaugh is a modern day Tony StarkImagine someone going to a football game for a cheeseburger?
The horror!!!!!
Not "during a game", but during a game that you aren't playing in. They were scouting future opponents in person.Sign stealing by analyzing video of the signs during a game - legal
Sign stealing by analyzing signs during a game in person - illegal
lol at the NCAA once again.
Let me just say this. Desmond Howard is a "Michigan Man"I thought Michigan men were supposed to be filled with honor and integrity, “above what other schools do”. Turns out all that crap of course is complete bullshit
Right. That's what I'm saying. You can get tape of a game with all the signs and use them to steal signs. Recorded video. But going in person is a no no. It's trivial and stupid. Not "during a game", but during a game that you aren't playing in. They were scouting future opponents in person.
Hiya! You know that is the one thing we are elite at!Right. That's what I'm saying. You can get tape of a game with all the signs and use them to steal signs. Recorded video. But going in person is a no no. It's trivial and stupid.

Not really. Everyone gets the same video so a team can do things that prevent sign stealing. But in person you can scour more things that might not show up in tape and get a competitive advantage. So they made a rule against that.Right. That's what I'm saying. You can get tape of a game with all the signs and use them to steal signs. Recorded video. But going in person is a no no. @huskers1217 I noticed you gave me a cheeseburger? You in big trouble boy!Let me just say this. Desmond Howard is a "Michigan Man"

Sure...that would fall under "in person"....but they do (in fact) broadcast games on video these days....I don't believe you are allowed to record the sidelines either. Thus, making sign stealing harder
They could simply make sign stealing illegal...while legal, this is trivial. Not really. Everyone gets the same video so a team can do things that prevent sign stealing. There more that can be learned by attending in person that just sign stealing. That's why the rule is no advance in person scouting. They could simply make sign stealing illegal...while legal, this is trivial.
If you call dicks and sperm milkshakes "honor and integrity," they absolutely are.
Well, I think this calls for another self-imposed 3 game suspensionThere was rumors that this was something much worse. So the fact that this is trivial nonsense is a relief. Almost certainly the result of Michigan being king and sore losers abundant in the B10.
