Your fear is showing big and brightRyan Day hasn't beat Michigan in 1420 days and is probably about to lose to Penn State.

Because he started on third base.
fear of what exactly?Your fear is showing big and bright
Wishing for an OSU loss to PSU, a team that's never beaten Ryan Day, to help your postseason chances after you lose to us.fear of what exactly?
I hope OSU loses every game.Wishing for an OSU loss to PSU, a team that's never beaten Ryan Day, to help your postseason chances after you lose to us.
Well, that's fair.I hope OSU loses every game.
Can you imagine (Coach gets his first P5 gig):I can promise that Nebraska is doing none of this
I'm not talking about sitting in the stands and recording the video. Teams are given full game video, multiple camera angles and full field shots (which include signals) to scout future teams. So yes, in 1994 having someone sitting in the stands recording video would be an advantage. In 2023 I just don't see the argument.
Well, we don't' really know the context of what's being accused here. I personally can't think of an advantage a team would have by sitting someone in the stands. From someone who sits in the stands 7-8 times a year, I can tell you most of the time I come home, watch highlights and see a bunch of stuff that I didn't/couldn't see in the stadium. I guess you could gain some minor bits of information from being in person but it would have to and couldn't only be supplemental to the video scouting that every single team does. Unless they were very literally on the sidelines of games I just can't see what significant value this would hold. You keep saying that over and over.
If that's the case then what was the purpose of Michigan "having someone sit in the stands recording video" of future opponents signs?
I think that's for a few reasons. but mostly, I think another coach had made the accusation and forced the NCAA to look into it. But I think the NCAA lacks any significant proof of it. I also do think Harbaugh pissed someone off at the NCAA. But I also think the NCAA is an organization who's lost all teeth so, as of late, they've been going hard on nonsense because they can't actually enforce more significant things anymore.
And Michigan had a bad year in 2020, like many teams, because like 10 starters opted out. The roster was a mess. But Michigan had a pretty clearly established good team prior to 2020 under Harbaugh. The only difference was the Ohio State win.
If we did anything, I very much doubt that Michigan had anyone on payroll at games. Especially anyone who would be recognized as a "michigan individual".More likely someone sitting in the stands (who was aware of the rule) behind the Michigan individual that was recording said future opponents signs.
The fact that this broke on OSU forums, the claim was "vast network of spies" and now is "low level staffer with military grade gear" is hilarious to me. Tells me everything I need to know about how much Harbaugh has ruined that program. We know where this attack is coming from.
It doesn't matter where the news broke because the Big 10 notified all of Michigan's future opponents.
I'm not saying that. I'm saying it broke on OSU forums first because the accusation, IE the only other people who would know outside the NCAA, came from the Ohio State staff. That's a pretty easy conclusion to make.
