UM folds ... accepts punishment

That ain’t evidence. That’s what he was hired to do. It’s not evidence that they knew he was getting information through illegal means.
He was too low level to be involved during games as much as he was. There is always more.

we are fucked

There is still a pretty darn good chance Michigan beats Ohio State this season and probably a decent chance the NCAA is too inept tondo anything about this even if they have a ton of evidence. You might be ok!

They really believe Rashan Gary turned down $100G from Clemson to come play there for free.

You will never convince them otherwise.
Gary was paid. I don't have pics of the money transferring hands but no way he turned down that much to play for free.

Rashan Gary and Jabrill Peppers were so impressed with our academics! That's why they came to UM. That's also why Gary majored in General Studies and Peppers never even declared a major. Academics!

What do you mean? Analysts are involved in everyone's game. They're on your sidelines to, helping out your coaches. That's what the ydo. Urban had an analyst who's entire job it was, was to scout Michigan and was on the sidelines helping him during the game.

So Stalions was dumb to be using his credit cards and venmo, but he was brilliant enough to keep his scheme from fellow coaches and staffers?

There's a place called the film room. Harbaugh, the OC, or DC, weren't curious where the incredible sideline video of their future opponent was coming from? LOL
I'm not sure it was brilliance? A low level staffer doing everything possible on the back end to get the coaches the information they're looking for, hoping to make a name for himself and "level up", wouldn't necessarily have to hide anything on a day to day basis. When I get data for my boss they're not like "did you get this legally"?

Analysts are more often simply used in the film rooms and up in the booths on game day. Not many analysts are in the sidelines...you don't have a great view of what they are supposed to be doing

We lost out on one of the best receivers in the game just two years ago because the school wouldn't let him in. This still absolutely tracks. I fucking wish so hard we were dumping money on recruits like that. But ultimately we wouldn't be trailing behind OSU in recruiting every year if this was the case.

This is just wrong. Take any shot from an Ohio State game. Show the sideline. Youll probably find at least 5 analysts there. The only limitation on them is that they can't actively coach players. Most teams take full advantage of this because you'd be stupid not to. Most coordinators have an analyst with them if they're on the sideline.

I'm not racist, I have a black friend

We lose pretty much every recruiting battle against major programs. I wish we were dropping bags of money. I haven't seen evidence to suggest we are competitive in that arena.

I was actually talking about the "we have academic standards" aspect of that not the "see, we don't pay players" angle.

You are confusing analysts with QC or assistants. They aren't the same thing

You also took a guy that had been kicked out of multiple schools (including sec) recently

Correction: michigan loses out on all of the top receivers in the game because they don't want to go to a school that can't develop them. The last 5* WR you got was so good he dropped to the 5th round in the draft. The best WR you've put into the NFL in the last 10+ years is only finally doing well now because he has an OSU QB throwing him the ball and making him look good.

A little off topic....

Its likely a defensive player will look better than he really is when he has a good idea what play the offense is going run.
I think NFL scouts will be taking a 2nd look at how they've rated Michigan defensive players.

Show me any other "low level analyst " that is in the ear of OC, DC and HC like this guy. I'll wait...

newphone: "don't lump me in with MnB, I'm not an idiot like him"

Also newphone:
MnB is arguing that Stallions did nothing wrong. You won't hear that from me. He also thinks nothing will come from this and you won't hear that from me either. I e had to tell MnB a dozen times that it doesn't matter if Harbaugh didn't know -- he is still responsible, as they removed plausible deniability as an excuse for a HC in January this year.

That being said -- it is a month into the Inveatigation. Name me another coach or staff member that has been tied into it?

Michigan would be suspending or even firing the coaches, as they did with Stallions and now Partridge.
