Nebraska sucks again…. Why?????

Fanbase has gotten progressively shittier over the years as well.

Might be time to shut it down and put the state out of its misery.

None. I enjoyed watching Nebraska in the 90s. One of their QBs was from my hometown.

Unfortunately, they fell apart and are unable to recover.

The football team falling apart is not a reason to throw the fans under the bus as they are suffering enough as it is. That is a pretty bush league statement in my opinion.

@Red_Alert this is exactly why I told you that you did NOT want Oregon in your conference because the fans are insufferable.
 
It could be as simple as....living in College Station sounds more fun than living in Lincoln Nebraska....
 
I know I'm a hater but aggy>nebraska..

They are in the SEC, in TX, have more donors/boosters to have a formidable NIL machine.

Nebraska doesn't. Maybe that changes down the rd, but not at the moment..

Still think Trev leaving will help Nebraska more than he will help aggy now that he's there

This is what it's like to be a Husker fan for the past 20 years. Everytime we pick ourselves back up after the last failure, our administration fucks everything up again and knocks us right back down. All while the fan base continues to show up and shell out money for mediocre product.

i'm loving this.. same AD that got Frost an extension.. then decided to cut him weeks before a date that would have saved the school money..

they all hated him, now they hate that he left??

There was a lot more to Alberts outside of the state of Nebraska (even outside of the Omaha metro area) that many don't know about.

He was anything but a 100% fan favorite to become AD at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln).

I have multiple friends that hated his guts before he took the AD job at Nebraska (Lincoln). They are pleased to see him leave.
i.e. Good Riddance.

As AD at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO), he eliminated the football program and the national championship wrestling program to get UNO into Division 1 for basketball and hockey.

He literally phoned the UNO wrestling head coach just minutes after they'd won their 6th DII national wrestling title in 8 years to advise him that he was killing the wrestling program.

If Nebraska didn't give their hero the AD job, he's likely still the AD at UNO.

I expect Dave Remington will become interim AD once again and possibly permanent this time. However, Remington has always seemed happy to be leading the Boomer Esiason Foundation. It's not about $$ to Remington. It's about heart.

We shall see.

I remember ESPN did something on it on E60 (I can't find the video) where they mentioned the football team just built a great football facility.

Also UNO said they were losing money with wrestling. ESPN researched it and showed wrestling was by far their biggest profit and the football was 2nd. The hockey team was losing money.

I have a handful of buddies that played on UNO's football team back in the late 70s early 80s. They were livid when Alberts eliminated the program and still are to this day.

That article I linked is a great read. Like I said many outside of the Omaha metro (which includes Council Bluffs, IA) have no idea the disdain for Trev Alberts.
