The Official SEC thread

but what does the top middle and bottom look like?
if the rankings say OK will be the 6th highest ranked SEC team are they considered top because they are ranked? or middle because 6th place isnt what people normally think of when they say the top.
Silly duck, you haven’t been paying attention. There is no middle or bottom in the SEC. (B1G either). They are ALL “ top”. That’s why they are P2.

Well, that AND money. I forget which is #1 and which is #2.

It depends on how you look at it. Are we looking at value? Are we looking at competitiveness? Let's go with value as we can just look at TV viewership.

- Compared to all G5 schools, all SEC schools are at the top.
- Compared to the non-P2, most of the SEC is the top. Exceptions are Clemson and FSU.
- Compared to the B1G, far more SEC teams are at the top than not.

If you are talking about competitiveness, it's a little more difficult. What does that mean? NCs? The SEC has 6 teams with about 20 of those since 1998. No one else comes close at the middle or bottom. I won't take the time to compare MSU v. Purdue, or Vandy v. NW/IL/Rutgers.

You know I am not one of those who say the middle SEC teams would win the B1G ... we know that's not true.

That’s it. Your SEC Homer card is R-E-V-O-K-E-D. You are way to rational to keep it.

You are right, but for the sake of discussion, I would say an Ole Miss type would have a better chance winning the B1G than a Wisky type would winning the SEC. No?

Yeah. It would have been interesting to see Ole Miss in the SECE. They were one of the few that beat Bama more than once. They always had to get through Bama, every damn year. Will be fun to see them when they get in as an 8 seed.

Ole Miss has a good chance, in relative terms for them, of winning the SEC this season, IMHO. They get Bama, Oklahoma, and UGA at home and LSU on the road. The rest of the schedule should see them favored in every game.

That’s a more difficult schedule than most isn’t it? How many of the “contenders” have to play both UGA and Bama?

Well, UGA and Bama can't play both of those, obviously. Let's take a look at each team considering Bama, UGA, Texas, OU, LSU, and Ole Miss as the top teams. UTjr might have something to say about that. Mizzou, too.

UGA - @Bama, @Texas, @Ole Miss / UTjr
Bama - UGA, @LSU, @OU / UTjr, Mizzou
UT - OU, UGA - sheesh.
OU - UT, @Ole Miss, Bama, @LSU / UTjr, Mizzou
Ole Miss - @LSU, OU, UGA
LSU - Ole Miss, @Bama, OU
UF - UGA, @UT, LSU, Ole Miss
UTjr - @OU, Bama, @UGA
AU - OU, @UGA, @Bama / @Mizzou
USCjr - LSU, Ole Miss, @Bama, @OU / Mizzou

I swear, fucking Texas has naked pictures of Sankey. If they are one of the top 2 teams at the end of the year, they truly suck.

Take the under at 7.5 on OU. That's a really tough schedule, they also have Houston, Tulane, and @Auburn.

Hmmmm, so Texas IS already running the conference…at least according to that schedule. The aggie faithful and corn shgie faithful warned you guys about such.😂

But, they’ve been know to lose to the bottom feeders in a conference so there’s that.

I do find that interesting how they end up with the easiest schedule in the entire conference. Also, remember that it's the same schedule next year, too. They will basically dodge Bama, LSU, UTjr, Ole Miss for two years.

They gots big ol’ pussies in they drawers! They way I see it, they will need the help.

This is so true. It's going to be wild the first time the UT AD tries to pull something and gets bitch slapped by the AD from Kentucky or Vanderbilt, never mind UGA, Bama, LSU, etc. As Saban said, there are a lot of big egos to go around.

Not a surprise and honestly it sounds like Napier did all the right things to redirect the kid he just won't follow though. In the NIL era this going to happen more and more as kids care more about money than they do about developing themselves.

I'm waiting to see who the Kansas of the SEC is that Texas will lose to.
