Through s2e3.
GOT was a precise political thriller (until the end)
HOTD is presented to us as a soap opera. And that’s after the giant problems with the presentation of the first season.
As I predicted, no one is really watching. It’s not good.
Love it.The season 2 premiere had 7.8 million viewers. This latest episode had 8.1 million viewers.
Middle episodes of shitty season 7 had many more viewersThe season 2 premiere had 7.8 million viewers. This latest episode had 8.1 million viewers.

Yes, but that has nothing to do with thisAre you just an asshole?
Sara Hess and Eve Best said:What Rhaenys represents is someone with absolute authority, power, wisdom, intelligence, expertise, political savvy and utter compassion — a constant awareness of [the need for] collaboration and making a choice for love, as opposed to destruction.
Sara Hess and Eve Best said:There’s so much of Hillary Clinton [in Rhaenys]. God knows you couldn’t compare Viserys to the other one [former President Trump], but the similarities are very clear — to see that the person who is absolutely, hands down, best suited for the job is sidelined simply because she’s a woman, and then has to somehow find her way.
Sara Hess and Eve Best said:One of the things that gave me the most respect for Hillary Clinton was in the aftermath of [the 2016 election], how she navigated her role/non-role and brilliantly maintained her dignity, self-respect and leadership. That felt like territory that Rhaenys was treading.
Sara Hess said:I just remember we were in the writers room one day, and I was like: it would be awesome if Larys came at the sight of Alicent's feet
LA Times: House of the Dragon writer Sara Hess and actress Eve Best see Rhaenys as Hillary Clinton:
Sara Hess is also the writer responsible for Larys's foot fetish (invented for the TV series, with no basis in the books):

Said witch womananother episode to build up the story and the political side of things.
most important part is Rhaenarys finding bastards to fly dragons
but yea, Daemon is getting not a lot done in Harrenhall...wasting his talent with very little pay off so far.
I am waiting for him to bang the poor man's Lake Bell witch woman...
there were plenty of boring GOT episodes that were meant to set up for the bigger episodes...you just don't remember themOverall this season is disappointing compared to last season and not even close to the original GOT. I can't remember and episode of GOT that didn't leave me wanting more but HOD just makes me want to fast forward the series to get to the good parts.
I'd definitely disagree a bit there.Overall this season is disappointing compared to last season and not even close to the original GOT. I can't remember and episode of GOT that didn't leave me wanting more but HOD just makes me want to fast forward the series to get to the good parts.

After season 4 of the original show there was maybe 1-2 good episodes a season. The rest were mostly nonsensical horseshit.
This show doesn't hold up to the first few Game of Thrones seasons, but it's far and away better than everything the original show did after it got past book 3. That alone makes it better than half of Game of Thrones and better than 99% of everything else on TV right now.
Well boring is different than bad I guess. I wouldn't say Game of Thrones was ever boring. The effects and choreography were great and most of the acting was good. It was just so poorly written at a certain point that nothing made sense. Huge plot lines went nowhere or didn't even matter. To this day the biggest thing people remember is how bad it got towards the end. What a wild post. Strongly disagree.
I've rewatched GOT so many times. There really aren't any episodes as boring as this last one. There are definitely some very boring parts of episodes though and they are almost all Denaries parts especially when she shacks up in that last city living in the giant Pyramid palace thing. Also when Arya is going through her facelessman hazing. But even those episodes the other parts are very good when it wpuld jump to other characters storylines.
