TV Series Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon

+
Well boring is different than bad I guess. I wouldn't say Game of Thrones was ever boring. The effects and choreography were great and most of the acting was good. It was just so poorly written at a certain point that nothing made sense. Huge plot lines went nowhere or didn't even matter. To this day the biggest thing people remember is how bad it got towards the end.

I've not found House of the Dragon boring but I understand how someone could I guess. The writing is miles ahead of the dumb shit we got in season 5+ of Game of Thrones though.
I agree with this....especially having read the ASOIAF books. I was very frustrated with the direction the show took it.

with House of the Dragon, it isn't really based off any "novel" per se, so it the story has guidelines but can be written how the showrunners see fit. There is some good story telling but some story lines are just slow...they need to turn the Daemon in Harrenhall into more of a Shining type thing.

Seasons 5 and 6 were still very good and season 6 had the best two episodes of the entire series. Season 7 and 8 was when it started to come off the rails but even then there was still some very good episodes in those seasons.

Agree with this.

so do we think we see Winds of Winter in 2025?

I doubt it. I think we'll be lucky to see it by 2026. And he is definitely dying before A Dream of Spring gets close to done.

Uta never going to be released. Maybe after he dies unless he specifically puts something in his will that it can't be released if still unfinished at the time of his death.

Well I definitely disagree there. Nothing touches the first three seasons for me.

The final two episodes of season 6 are by far the best of the series. The Arya and Denaries storyline dragged over those seasons hut otherwise we're good. The changes the show made to the Ramsey storyline was actually an improvement on the book version.

give it to Brandon Sanderson. I am sure that dude already has a couple drafts complete for it.

Anyone who cheers for the Greens over the Blacks pretty much declares they're a card carrying member of the democrat party.
why you gotta make it weird, bro?

The Greens behave an awful lot like democrats. Stevie Wonder can see it.
By emphasizing religion and not having uncles marry their niece?

Don’t really see how you can tie modern political parties into this tbh.

Lies. Propaganda. Promoting an undeserving man to the top. Do as I say, not as I do. Trying to kill their political enemies. I could go on & on.

Yikes...

I'm gonna leave this one alone...

That how it happened in the book? Dragon just decided to go pick out it's own rider?
