Fucked around and found out....

I wonder who he was trying to impress?

He was so sure of himself when he pushed off too.

I'll bring Jesus into whatever I want to.. you can believe what you want to believe.. or think however you want.. I will do the same.. you are neither right or wrong in your belief.. but your interpretation of God's word is.
Nowhere in Scripture does it say that Christians can’t protect themselves or their family. What we should never do is seek revenge. We must be slow to anger and handle all situations with wisdom.
Preach it, Katie. Tell them like it is.

Lol at you guys. Did Jesus kill anyone? Did he defend himself with violence when he was being persecuted and crucified? Did he teach violence in any way?

Fuck off haha.

Nope.

Wait, are you saying Jesus was soft, and a millennial?
Well I dont know if I will go that far.
I mean he did have to shit on the ground & had no indoor plumbing.
Cant see a millennial survive that time period. :heh:

Well He went into a temple and knocked around some money changers and their tables. His message at that particular time was not exactly a peaceful one. But, there is evidence in the Bible that Yehoshua was commanded by God not to use violence as an option in his teachings. But He also said (paraphrasing) that the family unit is a holy unit and must be protected at all costs. In other words - He did not teach violence but He also said that when a time comes that there is no option left but the use of violence, it was okay to use it.

If only God could talk to people now

Yep. I don't disagree. The Bible was sort of written in a way to transcend generations and evolutions of technological advancement, but if you are suggesting it might be a time for a reboot of what God's word might mean to us, in light of recent (i.e the past 500 years) technological developments, I certainly could not disagree with that.
