There are cheeses in Madden. Same with old NCAA too. Madden had so many bad glitches and flaws it was unbearable and most of them were not fixed. It was worse in Madden than NCAA but I do agree there are some definite flaws.

Players will exploit things that make it easy to win the game instead of going to specific strategies. Unfortunately, that is how a lot of games work but especially some sports games imo

I think you're one that's still in the camp that is just seeing this through a better vision because it's the first College Football game we've gotten in a decade.

The game when it comes to gameplay is incredibly broken and flawed. Yes there are cheeses in every football game before this, but this game has way more and they are way easier to exploit because of how awful the AI is most of the time.

It's VERY VERY obvious that EA spent way more time on the cosmetic aspects of this game than the actual gameplay part.
 
Another thing I love is how they tried to make the passing more realistic with the advanced passing crap. But the juke and spin moves are some of the most arcade type way over effective cartoonish crap i've ever seen in a real football game (that wasnt like NFL Blitz or some shit)
 
I think a lot of the cheese in previous NCAA games was at least stoppable if you knew what you were doing. This particular game is so broken that certain cheese you can only do some damage control on, like it's going to gash you but maybe you can prevent it from getting out of hand but some of it's very hard or outright impossible to totally stop.

Any sports game isn’t worth playing online if you’re after anything that resembles a realistic simulation.

Unless you just want to be really frustrated and annoyed.

I really don't see how "putting time into the game" has anything to do with the glaring bugs and issues.

"Putting time into the game" doesn't fix the fact that every time I play a team that's less than 75 or so overall I can't go more than 2 plays without one of their dudes getting injured and having to sit through the injury animation every other play. You have to turn injuries off or deal with it which really shouldn't be the solution.

My 85 overall DE shouldn't win the national player of the week every week and then the Heisman trophy in landslide because he got 14 sacks and 40 tackles in a season.

The opposing team shouldn't break the huddle with less than 2 minutes left down 8 and run 40 seconds off the clock sitting at the line of scrimmage before taking a delay of game.

If you're playing QB for Kennesaw State in road to glory, your simulated defense shouldn't give up less than 150 yards a game and make it impossible to lose.

Could very much enjoy almost every other previous NCAA title online. This one not so much though.

I know it's a video game, but people using this kind of logic to excuse EA for putting out a broken POS is a joke.

I've actually come around on this one for the most part.

The problem is really the weird delay on release of the kick and the fact that the field goal kick and punting meters move at different speeds than the kickoff meter. It's annoying to get used to, but if I weren't so used to the old system it probably wouldn't be an issue.

I’m not excusing anything. I gave up on online play long ago because I’ve never had an experience that wasn’t just random people exploiting something.

They have like 4 different passing settings you can use. I like you have options though.

The spin is pretty crazy at times but it was either that or the Madden spin which was pointless. We need an in between

I'm sorry that you expected the game to be perfect. I hate EA just as much as the next guy but there are a lot of great things about this game they can build on. A long way to go and this is just the start. I know people expected this to be the greatest game ever but not on day one. They literally have put on patch on this game so far and it was a very small one.

I know there are definitely so bugs but I am looking more at the positives bc we could be sitting here with no college football game.

I expected after 11 years it might release as an actual finished game.

It didn't. And it's buggier than every NCAA football game before it.

Better than nothing? Well yeah, that's true.

Yeah that's never going to happen. Madden is never a finished product and they literally made it every year forever. I have been playing Madden for a long time and I will say this game is better. I guess that isn't saying much but Madden is extremely glitchy and the patches are garbage. I just hope they actually release patches worth a shit, if they do this game has a lot of potential.

Nobody expected the game to be perfect, they put out a mostly completely broken POS gameplay wise though. With how long they had to develop this there's no excuse for how broken this game is.

I hate the "shut up and be happy you have a game" logic, that's enabling EA to put out shit products.

It's cute you think they are actually going to fix the glaring obvious issues through patches. It's EA lol they won't.
 
As long as EA has exclusive rights these games will always be shitty, there's literally zero incentive for them to actually try very hard to put out competent games when there is zero competition. As long as people keep buying every time they put one out they could care less.

You must be talking about Madden. It’s above Madden already in year one. My guess is you haven’t played Madden. Go play it and compare. I am not saying this game doesn’t have issues but how about lets not bash the game after 2 weeks lol

If you think it is the worst game ever. Don’t play it. Many will disagree

In the world view of being a football game it’s pretty bad. It’s not the worst game ever though for sure
