TV Series Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon

The Daemon Targaryen character, definitely the most interesting character in the series, has pretty much been wasted all of season 2.
agree...they could have figured out how to do more with him...especially considering the actor. He is doing what he can with it...but it's been lame

Hopefully he has a big night this coming Sunday.

so Martin was on a weird Sesame Street kick when he named the Tullys, huh?

Yep.

yea, that will get their army on his side...

I give the kid a ton of credit for standing up to Daemon.

Daemon thinks he's more than what he actually is and he needed to be taken down a peg and answer for overstepping his role in that slaughter.
Sure, I agree with that. The scene is actually fine if it didn't involve a twelve year old being the one taking him down a peg.

I don't know why we always gotta have some smartass little shit running around on these shows, it's stupid as hell.

To my knowledge this kid is a completely made up character and the actual grandson of Grover Tully is a grown man when this happens.

Edit: Yeah the above family tree shows it's not even the correct character (although not made-up). Gotta force the little kids in for some reason I guess.

Man wrote an ungodly amount of history and world building. Got to come up with names from somewhere.

yea, it looks like it should have been Elmo, not Oscar. And Elmo was not a child.

I don't mind it though...it makes no difference in this story.

When the Dance of the Dragons broke out in 129 AC, Grover wanted to support King Aegon II Targaryen and the greens, but he was bedridden and too aged to act. His grandson and heir, Ser Elmo Tully, who preferred the claim of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, kept the Tully banners at Riverrun at the start of the war.[5]

Finale had better be out of this world because I'm still pissed how last season ended. Rhaenys and Meley should have ended the whole stupid war before it had begun and it's insane that trigger wasn't pulled.

For some reason I thought this was going to be a 2-season series. Guess it's 3.

The Daemon story has been stretched a little too much for me as well. I get the whole Harrenhal experience is about Daemon finding himself and becoming less of a selfish prick...but it has definitely dragged a bit. But, he's got his army now and we probably wont see much of Daemon's wild fever dreams going forward.

All the pieces seem set. I wonder if we get a massive battle this week.

3-4 seasons is what they've said.

The way its trending, they would really have to stretch the war out a lot to go beyond a 3rd season. It's possible, there's some storylines they could really flesh out given enough time. Taking too long to tell the story is a far better result than GOT rushing to the end of theirs.

Hopefully these guys don't book a Star Wars gig soon.

Would seem to me that its gonna have to go at least 4.

Aegon the Younger is gonna need to add on a good number of years before a specific scene that traumatizes him plays out.

Apparently, the season 2 finale has leaked all over the internet. Anyone gone ahead & spoiled it for themself?

The full episode didn't leak, just a bunch of short clips from it. In more detail:

The plot for the episode, including its major changes from the source material, was spoiled weeks ago, before this season even began airing.

Earlier this week, a bunch of separate short low-quality cam clips from the episode, totaling maybe around 20 minutes if you join them all together, were posted on TikTok.

Personally, I'd rather wait for the full episode than watch a bunch of low-quality clips that, even joined, are only half the episode. :noidea:

I must have missed this.

Piss on how the season finale ended. Now what.............2 years?!

Feel like nothing of significance happened at all this entire season besides that one battle in like the 3rd episode.

What were the plot changes?

Oh fuck the right off. They ended it like that? And those bastards film so slowly that it'll be another 2 years before season 3. Fuck all the way off
