2024 Olympics

How about the men's 3000m Steeplechase where former BYU runner Ken Rooks from Washington came out of nowhere and took silver ahead of all those Ethiopeans and Kenyans.

Hey, white men can run!
Nothing compared to the 1500 with Hocker.

And the one dude hit the deck like a ton of bricks on that hurdle near the end.

This thing still going on? NBC just had that political statistician (or whatever) guy on to talk about the chances of the US and China leading the way in golds. US is up 27-25. He pointed out the good opportunities left for each. Men's 200, both basketball, and.... somebody else for the US. Four total. He then mentioned that China had five good chances at diving golds. Then he went on to say it is unlikely China could catch them because the US had so many more chances. We were scratching our heads and then the other guy in the studio call him a genius for figuring this out.
Just watched it. He has 4 track relays, women's and men's basketball, women's volleyball, Lyles, and McLaughlin as golds in play for the US, and China with 3 diving and 2 artistic swimming medals. US is currently up 2, and has a good shot at 9, while China has 5 likely gold medals.

It's kind of dumb that he's acting like this is something he's doing on the fly, they could have presented it much nicer.

Oh the 4 was track relays? He wrote four things down and then wrote a four. I couldn't rewind it to figure it out.

Yeah, the video's on YouTube. The presentation sucks because they want it to look like he's just writing this down as he goes, but they could have just used better graphics and let him circle pictures or some shit.

Man, I felt so bad for the Ethiopian guy who crashed on the next to last hurdle. I hope he's okay, they carted him off on a stretcher

Saw in an Athletic article that he was still in the hospital but didn't show signs of a serious head injury. Think they were still going to do tests on his leg.

He does this schtick for everything: NFL playoff scenarios, election night polling stuff...it's kinda old

A fourth-grader could've done better than that.

NBC is doing a lousy half-hearted job. To make room for more commercial breaks, they're skimping on pre-race introductions of all participants except for USA and a few leading contenders, and not even indicating the event about to take place until the exact start of the race. Idiot's delight.

What about Quincy Hall's performance in the 400? Talk about gutting one out. Just wish he'd get rid of those stupid teeth

You can get videos of the full event in Peacock. The primetime coverage is going to be snipped and highlights because of the delay.

Is that indoor women's volleyball? I haven't even seen any of that. Just knew all the beach teams were out and watched them men's indoor lose the semis.

Yeah I just know him as the elections guy buy I suppose he has to do more than just that to be employed there.

Ha. Yeah the teeth....

That was such a weird race. Even watching the replays it looks like he's toast as he's falling off and struggling then somehow grits past everybody. And Norman was supposed to be a contender?

a racer in the steeplechase is down with a bum leg? doesn't always end well...
