Probably his nephew tbhrelation to jake?
Atlanta kid with deep ties there. It's definitely a hell of a coup for them fending off OSU and others, but they had practically everything going for them other than recent on field success. Reminds me of when Iowa got Epenesa back in 2017. Major 5* kid with offers from everyone but wanted to stay home.Ga Tech just picked up a 5*? Wth.
Damn! A stud engineer!Ga Tech just picked up a 5*? Wth.
stud engineer...would you call that load bearing?Damn! A stud engineer!
@rfjeff9 - don't look now, but the Nerds are 20th. They are normally more like 40-50. Brent Keys is a good coach and doing a great job recruiting.Ga Tech just picked up a 5*? Wth.
Yeah there's a lot to be excited about. This was the correct hire. The recruits like what they see and were finally getting some good ones.@rfjeff9 - don't look now, but the Nerds are 20th. They are normally more like 40-50. Brent Keys is a good coach and doing a great job recruiting.
The atea is crawling with good players, Key's task is to use on field success and what GT has to offer to convince them to stay home and play.Atlanta kid with deep ties there. GT put together a nice season last year. Picking up wins vs Miami and UNC to get to bowl eligibility, then beating UCF was a nice momentum boost coming into the season. The hiccups were there like the collapse against BC and getting smoked by Bowling Green, but they're headed in the right direction. Like I've said about SMU, the ACC seems to be shifting and the opportunity for a new contender is there. The atea is crawling with good players, Key's task is to use on field success and what GT has to offer to convince them to stay home and play.
Improvement is overdue and Key came along at just the right time. It is hard to ignore his enthusiasm and positive attitude, and it seems authentic, not like the snake oil salesman we fired.
We're coming.
that would be wild... Indiana?Interesting USC news...
5 star Trojan QB commit Julian Lewis out of Georgia is apparently taking a good look at possibly flipping to the Indiana Hoosiers.

My guess is that booster/NIL money courtesy of Hoosier grad Mark Cuban is possibly behind this.
Colorado Buffaloes are also in the picture for Julian Lewis, but the Hoosiers supposedly are in the drivers seat.
I’ve been wondering why the schools that don’t have enough money to spread significant amounts to many players don’t just make huge offers to fewer players. And in basketball it would even make more sense.Interesting USC news...

Yeah, I've liked our game being easy.Yeah there's a lot to be excited about. This was the correct hire. The recruits like what they see and were finally getting some good ones.
Key is no nonsense and doesn't talk up a line of bull. He knows what he is doing and he knows it can be done because he did it there.
I like how he WANTS to be there. He has a vested interest other than GT being his next stop on a long list of stops like Chan did. And the best part is the current President has bought into Key and AD vision of where we want to go and all 3 are in lockstep. First time in decades.
Its looking better on The Flats. It's a brutal schedule but that's nothing new. I think we're flying under the radar right now. The offense is fine. But our D was atrocious last year, our success this year will depend on how much it has improved.
