TV Times & Networks for week 4. UCLA vs. LSU on a 6-day hold. Looks like it'll be at 3:30 on ABC or 4:00 on ESPN. Only way it might not is if both UCLA and LSU lose this weekend. Then it might get moved to SECN.

Damnit I was really hoping Marshall was going to be a 3:30.

Fox pretty much had to take that, or they were stuck with Minnesota vs. Iowa for Big Noon. Overall, not a very appealing week, especially with Nebraska playing on a Friday and with a bunch of road games.

The one positive is I'll get to catch USC/michigan, but we're going to the Marshall game and have Friday night plans and really didn't want to have to deal with going to campus at like 8 the next morning :pout:

Ahh yeah, that is a quick turnaround. And yeah, I can't imagine too often Michigan and OSU would play at the same time.

Sorry about your Irish btw, I couldn't believe what I was watching out there on Saturday. What's the general thought among the fans?

This seems like a negative to me?

I don't think there's anything long-term about Freeman's job status, or the overall program in general. Just more of a shocking result. We upgraded at OC in the off-season, and the defense still played okay. The only gripe is still at WR, where we haven't had anyone of note since Claypool was there.

The consensus though, is that if Freeman drops another game like this one, his seat will be on fire. It also doesn't help that BK never lost games like this. I think he won something like 42 games in a row as a ranked team against an unranked team between 2017 and 2021. Freeman has already lost two, and that doesn't count bad performances against Stanford(that we lost) and Navy(that we barely won) in 2022. We gotta get the offense figured out. He made a bad OC hire last year, and corrected that this year, but it's still not where it needs to be. Also, QB play hasn't been great under him either.

The QB play was going to be settled with Leonard this year, I thought, then it would be time for Carr next year, but Leonard has been awful. Love has been great at RB, but that isn't surprising. He's a stud IMO. I know ND's schedule isn't daunting this year but damn, if they can lose to Northern Illinois I'm not sure any game is safe. What are the thoughts on Purdue this week?

I thought Leonard even when he was healthy last year looked like he had taken a step back throwing the ball from his pretty solid 2nd year at Duke. Then he had to have another surgery this offseason which likely did not help at all either.

Yeah there's a real chance the injuries have just caught up to him. The defense and running game have been really solid (outside of the two long pass plays Saturday they clamped down), so with better QB play they should be resoundingly 2-0. If he has a bad outing against Purdue that may be it. I know Carr is only a freshman but I don't see how they can keep rolling with Leonard. His first two games were nearly identical duds.

WTH. LSU filled half their OOC schedule with LA schools and didn’t even have to go there! Brilliant!

Yeah, I'm hoping they just took NIU extremely light. In theory, the Purdue game should be a great matchup for ND given their scheme and the strength of our secondary. But if we can get pushed around against NIU, getting pushed around by Purdue is definitely likely. We just gotta get better QB play, and some down field capability. We're so predictable on offense right now.

If we do bench Leonard, almost assuredly Angeli will get the start. He's been good, albeit in mop up duty for the most part(unless you count the bowl game against Oregon State).
