2025 Recruiting Thread

And somehow every offseason all we hear about is how A&M is ruining college sports by paying players. :L
lol that was Saban crying about it.. and we have people who feel he and Mack Brown should be governing the future game with NIL lol

If Big schools start poaching 5 star SEC quarterbacks something may get done quick lol.

People here as recent as this season are the ones who are crying about A&M.

Not sure what there is to do. If someone wants to empty the bank for one player, more power to them. Will there be enough left over to get him WR's and an OL? Just wait one season for him to hit the portal and get him on discount :)

Nope. It used to always be Texas’s fault.

Isn’t it Michigan that just offered $5 million for one player?

So now the skunk weasels are ruining the game.

Jexas bears a lot of blame, but you are wrong on this one. People here still equate paying NIL to A&M.

Well, they need to wake up then. Even the Utes are into it.

"Rising, one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in college football and in the seven-figure range according to industry sources, was expected to guide Utah to a Big 12 title in his seventh-year of eligibility."

What is going on in Utah

This is probably an exception/anomaly and not the norm because Bryce Underwood plays for Belleville, MI which is approx. only a 30 minute drive from Ann Arbor. So besides the big money, Underwood will be able to play in front of friends and family.

Also, Michigan was forthright about their pursuit of Underwood with their current 4 star 2025 QB commit Carter Smith out of Florida... and Smith decommitted from Michigan yesterday.

BREAKING: Star quarterback recruit decommits from Michigan Wolverines

You know what this means.

It sure as shit better or Moore is probably getting fired.
Just signed his contract less than two months ago, would be hilarious for him to get canned in that short time frame.

It'd certainly be disappointing. He's on the verge of returning michigan to their glory days of mediocrity under Rich Rod.

Even IF they landed Underwood, I don't think tossing him into the fire next year is going to work out well with a crappy OL and crappy WR. He'd end up like Dante Moore did at Oregon, have a wildly below mediocre freshman season and then transfer out at first chance.

Yup, if they drop all the money it will take to flip him they may not have enough to also get portal WR and OL talent.

They are gonna have to throw out a lot of money to get the better portal WRs, they haven't show the ability to showcase WR talent at all. Why would any top portal WR go risk playing with a freshman QB and a questionable OL, along with playing in a old school pro style run offense.
