AP Poll is interesting ...

Washington is a bad team at home or away. Using their game to prop up Wazzu is silly.

They are pretty clearly much worse on the road, given the results. I'm not trying to prop up Wazzu, but IMO beating them by 5 in Seattle is pretty similar to beating Washington by 14 at home.

Don't know that the committee will see it that way, but I doubt Wazzu even comes up in any meaningful discussions.

Sadly, only Nebraska (5-4) has a better record than Washington (5-5) of Indiana's B1G opponents so far. Think about this, there are currently 7 B1G teams that are Bowl eligible. Indiana is one of them. The Hoosiers have not played ANY of the other 6! They will play the Buckeyes, so there is that, but it hasn't happened yet. However, not only do they miss Oregon and Penn State, they also miss the next tier of Illinois (6-3), Iowa (6-4) and Minnesota (6-4). I just cannot believe how awful their B1G schedule has been.

Couldn't care less.

You bringing up a moronic hypothetical means nothing.
We aren't dumb ... we know why you don't want to answer it. That's cool. It would just have been easier to answer ... either way we would have known what you thought.

They'll be up to at least 4 B1G bowl-bound teams by season's end.

There's no shot at SEC getting 5 teams in unless there's a goofy upset in the b1g or ND drops a game

The committee showed that with the initial rankings.
Put this in your book......Southern Cal will beat Notre Dame to make this scenario happen.

My opinion on it matters far less than the committee's. They gave Indiana a high enough ranking in the initial ranking to ensure a non-blowout loss to OSU keeps them in.

You refusing to acknowledge the difference in schedules between IU and UGa is...

You are not seriously trying to build up the 100th best SOS are you? Man, this is a hill you seem prepared to die on. Yikes. Have at it.

I don't think Wazzu will come up at all either. If they are comparing IU and Wazzu that result is likely a wash. IU has been much stronger across the board. That's the better case for an 11-1 IU over an 11-1 Wazzu. The common opponent argument I think would be one of their weaker cases. IU pummeling everyone (for the most part) while Wazzu has struggled with the likes of Fresno State, SJSU, and San Diego State, will hurt their case much more than common opponent result of the Washington game.

Indiana's SOS went up to 76th after the Michigan game. It'll go way up for the OSU game, then likely back down a bit for Purdue.

Yeah, I don't know why he brought up Wazzu at all. They are not a relevant team.

That's just pathetic. Thank you huge conferences and unbalanced schedules.

I never claimed they would be #4. No one cares about the AP poll.

Couldn't care less about your question, as I am stating what the committee will do, not what it should do
You clearly stated that the Committee was clear in what they valued in their initial poll. Don't make me go find that. But you said that ... what they clearly showed was that SOS mattered - they put 5 one-loss teams ahead of IU. Hopefully, that means they will look at SOS, and if UI loses to tOSU they will take that into consideration.

That is sad actually when beating a 5-5 team raises the SOS for a team. Kicked their arse by 5 whole points to boot. :)

None of that has anything to do with the AP. I never mentioned the AP.

I'm not trying to brag up WSU's schedule, but they did play and beat Texas Tech from the Big XII and Washington from the B1G. Indiana's schedule is flat out garbage and B1G in name alone. *Edit* I think a comparison of Wash. State (11-1) vs. Indiana (11-1) would be warranted. *Edit*
Indiana also beat Washington from the B1G, and beat them by more. Again, they also have had the narrow wins vs mid-bad range G5s that WSU has had. They also have beaten numerous other teams from the B1G that would likely go 11-1 with WSU's schedule.
