Daniel Jones getting $40+ million?

The Giants are 3-13 in Jones’ 16 starts since he signed that extension. He has 10 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions.

By comparison, the Giants are 5-6 with 13 touchdown passes and six interceptions over that timeframe when someone else (Tyrod Taylor and DeVito) starts. Those 11 starts happened when offensive coordinator Mike Kafka was calling the plays, but now it’s head coach Brian Daboll who will be in DeVito’s ear.

Did Jones play Sunday? I’ve read where the Giants might sit him like the Raiders did Carr to keep him from getting hurt so they can ditch him.

Not sure if his contract has an injury guarantee, likely does. If so, yeah they will bench him from here on out. They have an out after this year with just a $22m hit that they could spread over two years. I have zero doubt some team will sign him to compete to start next year. I could see that list being:
Pats
Jets
Browns
Colts
Titans
Jags
Raiders
Saints
Panthers
Rams

And chatter in the twittersphere is Vikings would make a run at him with a multi year deal for insurance over Darnold. I could see Danny doing well with actual offensive weapons around him. I'd say his best spots would be Jets, Rams, and Colts

Jones has an injury guarantee, so the decision to bench him is 100% business driven. They're also playing DeVito over Lock because of $, Lock has contract incentives based on team snap counts, QB ratings, and stuff. It's kind of loose change compared to what they've been throwing at Jones to suck, but it makes sense if they're going to make decisions entirely around financials.

Need NYG to beat Dallas a couple of times this year, improve our 9th overall pick :L

Exactly what happened with Russell Wilson at the Broncos last season.
And Derek Carr the year before too, didn't the Raiders? Seems pretty common with QB's and buyers remorse.

Cowboys are going 7-10 with Cooper at the helm.
The only games I see them having a chance at winning are the Giants and Carolina.

After three years of 12-5 they'll be 5-12 in that case.

I was just hoping for a middling draft pick.

The way you guys played Sunday that isn’t going to be an issue. I have to eat my words and say Dak is worth every penny because you guys are complete trash without him.

Well that’s not fair special teams are still decent.

They were 3-5 with him as well.

LOL @SU Nittany Tide love watching you and Eagles fans dunk on Cowboys. Pats, Chiefs, Buccs, Colts, etc. It wasn't that long ago, Dallas fans were calling you losers and making fun of you for never winning a SB. I wonder how many more teams are going to surpass the Cowboys; maybe when the Browns win a SB first, they'll reconsider the "America's Team" (now said only half-sarcastically) moniker being thrown around.

I doubt he signs anywhere before the rest of this week's games. Wonder if Jerry calls next week?

3 playoff wins in what? 28 years?
