GAME Playoff Selection Show thread (11 am cst ESPN)

Funny, plenty of people understood the post. You are only one that could not grasp it. Perhaps your ego is ahead of your ability to comprehend
I think the biggest takeaway here is the committee boxed themselves in with all the “can’t be penalized for playing in conference championships game.” I agree with that statement, but not absolutely. Lot of disparate schedules and all data points should be evaluated

The committee never said the part in quotes. You're an idiot.

So we gonna see tougher regular season OOC games go away then?
I’m thinking we do, at least… many lot of them.
I said last year teams in the SEC and B1G were going to stop scheduling OOC games against anything but cupcakes, because their schedules are going to be so tough. I was told I was wrong, especially by Georgia fans.

There is no reason at all for teams to play these big OOC matchups anymore.

Reading the Bama message boards. The committee members are going to need to security up like a health insurance CEO for the next few weeks.
They have a great reason to be upset. SMU's best win is against who? 7-5 Pittsburgh? Zero chance SMU should be in. Even less reason that the ACC should have 2 teams. They don't even deserve one.

Sure I feel for my fellow Bama fans. I don't like Bama didn't make it, but they didn't deserve to make it either.
On to whichever bowl game they draw.

Dude, Bama lost to TWO 6-6 teams. One by 3 TDs. They have ZERO legit complaint.

How pissed are Ohio fans? All you had to do is beat Michigan and you either have a bye, or you end up where PSU is, playing SMU and if you win, Boise State.

Instead you have Tennessee, then Oregon and likely Texas. And if you win that Gauntlet, you like get Georgia. B.R.U.T.A.L. You can't have a worse draw. You are welcome.:hide:

Better chance day gets canned if he embarrasses himself again against Tennessee. So no complaints. And I think he will. Like I said playing in the weather actually puts us at a disadvantage with the state of our OL

They beat 11-2 Georgia, they beat 9-3 South Carolina, they beat 9-3 Missouri. SMU hasn't beat anyone. Pittsburgh is their best win.

The ACC is HORRIBLE this year.

If I was looking at Alabama as a solo team I'd agree with that, but when looking at the market of teams they were up against...they should've been in. The truth was I wasn't excited about them getting in anyhow because we don't show up a lot of the time and that makes getting beat in this multi game format an inevitability.

*Still better than SMU or Clemson
*Alabama vs Penn State would've been a more awesome game for fans and the sport

Hope they like Shreveport, all the good bowls are going to be taken by playoff games

Hopefully this gets fixed sooner rather than later

They should make some stipulation where a conference champ doesn’t get a bid if they are ranked outside the top 12. This helps avoid a ACC situation Clearly conference champ games already don’t matter anyways.

Yeah but that would be like Ohio State complaining Penn State is ranked above them. Penn State hasn't beaten anyone and lost at home to Ohio State.

But Ohio State lost to a shitty Michigan team so thems the consequences
