I'm not saying Bama didn't get in because of their OOC -- I'm saying ALL TEAMS in the B1G and SEC going forward will not go out of their way to schedule any opponent of substance in the OOC. Why would they? They mean nothing.

I said last year once these super conferences started -- teams would stop scheduling
tough OOC games and I was told I was crazy. The decision by the CFP committee to reward teams with the 60th ranked schedule and 2 losses to the only two ranked teams they played or the 43rd ranked schedule and they got blowout by the only ranked team they played.

It will be the end of big time games in OOC. Just win your conference games. That's all that matters.

Why don't we just put the top 8 SEC teams into the playoff, then we can select which 4 other peons get in to give them so it's "fair"

You keep talking about the SEC. Which conference is remotely close to them this year? Obviously you think another conference is better, so who it?
ACC - whose conference champ is 0-2 against the SEC this year? The Big 12, who is represented by the team picked to finish dead last in the conference? The B1G who has Indiana in the CFP as one of our top teams?

I'd love to hear which conference you think is the best this year, since it isn't the SEC. It should be interesting to hear your response.

I see a bunch of mediocre teams with overhype in the SEC. The schedule just set up nice for teams like Missouri & Ole Miss to look better in record than they actually are.

Nobody is trying to claim Illinois as some good team, but plenty will try to claim that for Ole Miss & Missouri. That's the difference between normal people and SEC honks, like yourself now apparently.
 
I like how Indiana being in the playoff represents as the B1G being "weak"

If Vanderbilt had made the playoff the same jackoffs would be claiming its a testament to the strength and brutal depth of the SEC!!!!

Honestly. I don't care one way or the other. My team sucked this year -- they get a pass for winning the national title last year and handing Ohio the absolute WORST draw out of any team in the CFP.

If SMU had beat Clemson. For sure. They are in. You lose to Clemson, with a schedule that soft. You should be out.

Personally - I think the ONLY reason they put SMU in is that they make an absolute fortune off CCG's. They know schools would want to put an end to them if it cost them a spot in the CFP. With the dwindling interest in 'bowl games' outside the CFP -- they don't want to lose a cash cow like CCG's

Bama and Miami both choked and that's why they are not in the playoffs.

If you lose 3 games you really have no complaints about being left out of the field.

I think most people won't argue for Miami at all in this case because we all know they SHOULD have at least 3 losses, the ACC refs bailed them out on multiple occasions.

I didn’t mention Alabama. You have an unhealthy obsession

None of the belonged, but SCar was the most deserving of the SEC 3 loss teams since SEC refs screwed them over to protect LSU’s playoff chances

Indiana had 12 yards of offense against Michigan in the 2nd half. 12. I don't even think they had a 1st down in the 2nd half.

Michigan is terrible and we completely shut them down. We did the same thing to Ohio. We played both teams without our best player on defense.

Yes - the B1G is weak this year. The fact you are arguing it is humorous. Michigan stinks, USC stinks, MSU stinks, Washington stinks, UCLA stinks, Wisconsin stinks.

Not only do teams in our conference who are usually good, really bad this year, but every team we added but Oregon are terrible this year.

I cannot believe you are truly advocating for INDIANA. So again - what conference is the best this year? You haven't answered.

You probably think LSU is "actually a pretty good team" don't you? The same LSU who couldn't beat a 6-6 USC team.

Ole Miss is legit defensively. They have one of the best defensive lines in college. I think they led the NCAA in sacks this year or were near the top. Their offense is hit or miss though, that's what kills them.

Missouri is whatever. Other than dog walking Ohio in the bowl game last year -- I don't know much about them.

I didn't say anything about LSU. They were trash this year, though I still wouldn't want to play a night game against them at their stadium.

My answer is there isn't a clear "best", everyone is pretty meh this year, the SEC schedule lined up nice for more teams to look better record wise than they actually are

Texas Oregon and Georgia are basically cofavorites at this point. My money will be on Georgia. If Oregon can get it done it will be the first time.

Again, This is what you get with expanded playoffs
There's 12 spots now and someone has to fill it.
Atleast we have more "meaningful" post-season games now, time to just shut up and enjoy :couch2:

It is so funny to hear you saying this. I just want to get this right. You think the B1G, with Michigan, MSU, USC, Washington,, UCLA, Wisconsin, etc. all being garbage this year -- is on par with the SEC?!?

I think better SEC teams losing to teams like Vandy, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky & Florida is a good indicator that those "better" SEC teams really arent that great.
