2024 College Football TV Ratings

I wasn't caught in anything. I proved to you how the P2 and now mid2 have them. No matter what you want to say Oscar. You were wrong there like you are wrong here. But you won't admit it, shocker.

LOL, you didn't prove jack shit. It is common knowledge that the top 5 conference champions get in, regardless of which conference they are in.

No conference has an autobid.

Yes I fucking did, you just won't admit it. Unless you want to try and say they'd ever leave out the SEC or B1G champ. Are you saying this?

If the sec or b1g champ was the 6th highest ranked champ, they are out.

This is indisputable.

They will never be the 6th highest rated champ. We both know this and the rankings will dictate that. There's really no point in continuing this convo if you're not going to admit that.

Its possible for an SEC champ to be 7-6.

Considering every one of them plays teams like Mercer (which I don't blame them) no SEC champ is going 7-6. However I'd still argue they'll get in via being one of the highest ranked conference champs if they did that.

A 7-6 sec team is not making the playoff

Colorado did it's thing with viewers again... credit to them for having Sanders and Hunter play.. if they were anywhere else, they would be sitting out if they weren't part of the expanded playoff.

Sugar Bowl's not up against the NFL tomorrow night.

Could be some big numbers tuning in.

No NFL game tomorrow night. I think this new start time might actually hurt the overall numbers, but we'll never know for sure.

Yeah. I didn't know the start time when I posted.

I wonder why they chose that start time?

The advertiser contracts must be sold and solid.

From all I've read, this was what the teams were pushing for, because pushing this back, there's now even less time to prepare for the following game. I've also read from a logistical standpoint, starting the game during daylight is better than at night. Take all this FWIW, because it's just stuff I've read.

Everytime somone posts that we have too many bowl games I point out that Disney makes a ton of money off them. They are their most valuable asset.
Seems a lot of people are watching…just not in most of the stadiums.

that's good right?

For NYE, I think it's okay. There's really no precedent for this because all the other NYE games were CFP Semifinal games. CFP Semi's on NYE happened 4 years during the 4 team CFP and the avg viewership of those games were 18.84 million.

With that said, I would expect the two semifinal games to get above that mark. The best ratings, by far, happen when the CFP was on NYD, which we had this year, however, with the sugar bowl being moved it's going to be hard to get a sense for how much that affects the overall rating of that game.
