Somewhat related, was looking into Elon University the other night and back in the 60's they had a player drafted in the MLB with the name of Dick Such. Too close for comfort.

They’re going to beat us by 40 points tonight. Thankfully I’ll be at the Sixer game and missing most of it. But DeVries should just rest Small and concentrate on Tuesday and next Saturdays finale. Both of those are winnable and gets us to 19 wins which likely means we are in.

Nah. BYU can get disinterested so there’s that. Because of that they probably can’t make a long run. But they are good enough to ruin some of the good teams’ season.

Yeah, geographically, conferences are really screwed up. SEC is the only one that is "close" to making geographic sense. I don't consider Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas as "South" per se. But at least they abut some that are truly South.

All that said, Money trumped Geography a long time ago.

Once the season is over, I'd be interested in how the teams in the B1G and ACC did when traveling coast to coast this year. I'd include the game directly after those trips as well. Hell, it is the offseason, I may try to do it if I can't find that it is already done. One would think the B1G and ACC would be interested in knowing that info.
 
That was a great game versus BYU and Iowa State last night.

Give BYU credit for hanging in there to win even as they choked away a massive lead and committed ridiculous turnovers.

Yeah, they were awful to begin the game. Then played well. Then blew a big lead. Then won.

Not sure I've ever seen a team turn it over that much and still come out with a win.
 
For a conference that is supposed to have parity, Houston flat ran away with the regular season.

I’ll be surprised if the Big 12 has much success in the tourney. They just don’t look near as good or deep as they have been.
