Gene Hackman RIP

This you?

He's 95 and though I don't know what his state of mind since he hadn't been seen in public for awhile, I would think he would at least know something has happened even if he weren't capable of taking his meds himself. So reading that he was found on the mudroom floor, I think its more plausible that the wife had a stroke/heart attack like this person on twitter theorized and Hackman was going to get help but fell. Being old and feeble, he couldn't get up. Both died as no one was around to help them. The dog that died was in a cage so it couldn't get food, the other two were roaming free and could find scraps to live on.

Leading cause of mummification in the elderly.

They don’t just suck goats.

Randy Quaid is on Twitter saying they were murdered.

For what it’s worth.

A really great actor has passed. While the French Connection is arguably his best film, I enjoyed him in Hoosiers and Crimson Tide.

His Polish accent left something to be desired in A Bridge Too Far.

Gene Hackman...gone too soon!!!!!!

"Because you made a phone call!"

Enemy of the State

Best line ever in a movie.
It's far from the best line. I still prefer "go on, make my day."

For all the theories thats been posted here.....

Mine would be she had to go first.......If Gene had problems, she would have called 911 asap......

Gene fell, and just like the old lady commercial," Ive fallen and I can't get up" type of deal.......

And of course the dog died of no food and water......

The door being partially opened had to do with Gene in a hurry to get to his wife......

I'd have to think the Hackman's had security cameras around the property.......Im sure someone would have been spotted.

Great misquote...
The meaning is there. The Godfather has the most. "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse" is probably the best one from that movie, but I always liked "take the cannoli, and leave the gun," is another.

A quote is a quote. A misquote is well, a misquote.

"Gene Hackman's wife Betsy died from hantavirus, a flu-like virus linked to rodent droppings, and the Oscar-winning actor was likely home alone for about a week until he himself died.
Gene, 95, died from a combination of severe heart disease, high blood pressure, and advanced Alzheimer's Disease, and was likely alone in the home with his dead wife for days before he succumbed.
"

Who had "hantavirus" on their bingo card?

I haven't heard that term in probably 30 years.
