Matt Olson inside the park homer

Well at least now there is a spot for old man Hobbs, eh Pop? :noidea:

But if an outfielder is on the ground injured, incapacitated and writhing in pain, IMO, you should just give the batter a double.
Old chewy would have called the outfielder a pussy and said to rub some dirt on it as the batter gets his home run.

New chewy wants participation doubles.

Fatherhood has made him soft. You hate to see it. Next thing you know he’ll be letting his daughter give him a makeover

I just don’t think any ball hit under 450 feet should count as a homer
*if due to injury

But if a speedster hits a line drive that some knob takes a poor angle on and it rattles around the outfield, count that inside the park HR.

That lets the pitcher off the hook. I give a single or a double and then an error.
That’s fair too. But I stand by my earlier statement that the rare plays like the ball bouncing off Canseco’s head and going over the wall should be 4 base errors. If it bounces off his head and stays in play, it’s ruled an error all day

The head was just hilarious but that's happened agains since then. Then the ball hitting a glove and going over, but clearly wasn't going over before hand happens a couple of times a season in both college and MLB. I'd give those two base errors too.

On the flipside, Callihan fucked up his left arm. His right arm - throwing arm - still worked. Get that ball in, THEN roll around the ground in pain. If he would've fucked up his right arm, you throw it in as best as you can with your left before worrying about your own well-being. ...At least, that's how I was brought up to play.

First thing I thought of when watching the clip, at least toss the ball to the centerfielder, or something.
Yeah bro, get up and make the play!
