Isn't that what soy sauce is for? :rolleyes2:

:martini:

Ahh, the good ol' broke bitch days. Rice, butter and soy, and if it was payday, maybe some ground beef. lulz
I grew up in a house where the previous husband was Filipino so that carried over in the form of us having rice with nearly every meal (and not jasmine or long grain. Has to be calrose). Kinda like how I imagine white people eat potatoes. We always just doused it with soil sauce (😉) and thought nothing of it until my cousin came home from her white mom’s house one time and she put butter on it. The rest of us freaked out and chalked it up to being honky shit.

I was today years old when that was finally confirmed. Grassyass :yo:

My go to is long grain New Crop Thai Jasmine Rice. On occasion I'll use Basmati rice. I usually rinse it 5-6 times before cooking it.
I use long grain for making Spanish rice, but calrose the rest of the time.

First zucchini of the year has arrived. Three types of green beans are next up; Blue Lake Bush, Royal Burgundy and a white green bean variety.
