My go to is long grain New Crop Thai Jasmine Rice. On occasion I'll use Basmati rice. I usually rinse it 5-6 times before cooking it.

I grew up in a house where the previous husband was Filipino so that carried over in the form of us having rice with nearly every meal (and not jasmine or long grain. Has to be calrose). Kinda like how I imagine white people eat potatoes. We always just doused it with soil sauce (Ahh, the good ol' broke bitch days. Rice, butter and soy, and if it was payday, maybe some ground beef. lulz
