What would the first change or couple of changes you would make?

I would have put a rule in about games that are cancelled or postponed because of the virus. Why should a team that is doing everything right be penalized if a game can't be played? The team that could have played gets a W. The team that could not play because they had too many missing players gets a L. If the game is eventually played, the results would be either left the same or changed depending on who won the game.

Seems like the logical thing.

And instead of "vacating" a game after the fact, it needs to be a forfeit
 
1.Eliminate targetting and illegal blind side block penalties. It's a collision sport, there are risks, play it or don't.

2. Conference realignment... we're coming home baby!!!

3. remove scheduling from the schools.


I have been over this a bunch and I always post the same video.... basically this - minus the uniform and recruiting nonsense. Would really want the conference realignment and the scheduling to be done this way.




And 4. 16 team playoff.

No more ejections for "targetting". Or first half of next game carry overs. Hate. Hate. Hate.

Complete overhaul of OT. Just play football.
 
I'm going to get killed here but we have to have the targeting penalty and yes pussify the game. The concussion thing is a massive problem and if we don't make the game safer then parents aren't going to let their kids play.

Atheletes have gotten bigger, stronger, faster and the bodies can't handle the blunt trauma.

It sucks but that's the reality.
 
I would ban divisions, i would make the G5 know they dont have a chance at the CFP, i would move the P5 conferences into nice neat 10 team conferences with 9 game conference schedules, i would make pussies who cancel games on their own not because of being forced would end up being a forfeit not a "no contest" bullshit.
 
I'd prevent OOC schedules from being made so far in advance. If UCLA and Cal can play on 72 hour notice, the others can schedule a game only a year or two out.

I'd also target Wild Turkey, in the stands.
 
Wild Turkey had best keep his head on a swivel.

He's getting targeted in the parking lot now too.
 
I would standardize the scheduling between conferences by...

1 Eliminating divisions, the top two records in each conference play in the CCG
2 For 14 team conferences, you play 8 conference games. Each team has 3 permanent “rivals” and the remaining 10 teams are in two pools of 5 that alternate every other year. Also you are required to play

12 team conferences also 8 conference games and you get two permanent rivals and the remaining 9 teams get split up into three pools and they play two pools per year. They are required to play two P5 opponents per year in non conference play. Notre Dame counts as a P5.

10 team conferences play a round robin every year. They are required to play one one P5 opponent in non-conference play.

3 No playing FCS opponents

8 playoff teams. Autobids for P5 champs, 1 guaranteed for G5, and 2 at large from P5 or G5. Seeds 1 and 2 get bye the first week.

SEC schools would be sending Covid-19 positive carriers to Alabama every week, because it just means more.

Traditional rival games back on schedules and iron clad, never changed again. You play each other or NCAA SMU style death penalty.
 
1. Conference alignment into 6 neat conferences - ideally 10 teams each.
2. Remove the G5 and force them into their own league
3. 6 Conference champs get auto bids to a playoff, 2 at large bids decided by BCS rankings (best two non champ teams)
-"BCS bowls" would have historic conference tie ins put back in place so the Rose is always the P12 champ playing the B10 champ ect.
4. Conference championship games would go away, teams play full round-robin schedules. 9 game schedule + 3 OOC games within only the other 6 power conferences.
5. Ban Ohio State
