I'm personally fine with them but the guy who did this also does 16-team formatsNO BYES!!!!! Worst thing ever devised in playoffs. Other than that, cool.

Coastal lost to Liberty in their bowl game. lol
Come on you drunk bird! As my grandkids frequently tell me....Not the same. Both basketball and baseball are very different sports in that you can have elevated talent in a few key spots and have a shot a the upset. Football simply is not like that and you can scheme to negate another team's strengths if they aren't able to strike at other positions.
I can't believe I have to explain this to you.
It still happens. The most famous BCS bow game is either USC vs Texas or BSU vs OU. Upsets happen all the time. I would love to watch a few in the opening round of the playoffs. I am not what about the current bowl season or even playoffs makes you think a change would lower the quality of games we will watchNot the same. The only thing we will be creating is a bunch of drama where everyone and their brother is going to lay claim to the BS 8th spot and give both the PAC and Big 12 pretty much automatic bids to the playoff. It still happens. You can shit in one hand and get emotional in the other and see which one fills up the fastest.Let's be honest, I don't think UCF or Cincy were good enough to play for it all but they still deserved the shot being unbeaten.
Also teams get up more for playoffs than useless bowl games that don't matter. Emotion is a big part of college football.

Step 1 Fire the dumbass that can't win them. CheckTell All-Barn to win a Fucking Bowl Game and then we can talk.

Now find yourself a coach that can actually beat Bama before you address me in that tone again.

Just win your games and earn your spot.
The seeding is not relevant, it's just a nod to the season you had. Alabama won it as the #4 seed and were the odds favorite for both games.Fun Fact. The #4 seed in the playoffs have won more championship than the #1 seeds
I'd have liked to see Bama do to BYU what they did to North Alabama.I'm personally fine with them but the guy who did this also does 16-team formats

In the Big 12 just plan on having to win them all to be safe. Drop 2 and I don't want to hear any bitching and I don't want any "we've improved" shit either. How many games does a team have to win?
I’ve felt exactly this way for a while. That year with UCF always seemed like crap. Perhaps they made no friends claiming to be champs, but they were deserving to be in a tournament.
But, even before that....8 teams in a tournament is just awesome. All the blocks thrown up on it for years never added up for me. Move bowl schedules or eliminate games if needed. It’s all overkill anyway.
I like seeing common thoughts moving towards this, along with good solutions to make it happen.
Hot Garbage.Just adopt the I-AA playoff system format:

Everyone on the planet had Oklahoma taking one of the 4 spots this year, it was their's to lose and they gifted it away.
Everyone on the planet my ass. Even the land thieves didn't think they should be in.The only thing we will be creating is a bunch of drama where everyone and their brother is going to lay claim to the BS 8th spot and give both the PAC and Big 12 pretty much automatic bids to the playoff.
Just win your games and earn your spot.
The committee has put in teams that didn't win their division and teams that lost their CCG, one thing they have yet to do is put in a 2 loss conference champ, and they had the chance with Ohio State in 2017. Don't lose 2 games.Everyone on the planet my ass. Even the land thieves didn't think they should be in.
So, "Just win your games...." is arbitrary. That's what I thought.
