Ryan Day to the Eagles?

HAHAHA!

You're awesome, Samurai. I'd forgotten about that nonsense from @MAIZEandBLUE09.

Damn that kid's dumb!
Your high school coach just got roasted by a real one after you cheated your way into the national title game by not playing any games.

Why all the interest in Urban Meyer?

What do Saban's nuts taste like, kiddo?

Lol I’m sure the Eagles are “interested” in a lot of coaches. Doesn’t mean they are interested back though

The Eagles are a mess right now. Far too much money invested in Wentz and he's not even the best QB on their roster.

Heard this talked about in a podcast a few days ago (not specific to the Eagles, but to Day leaving for the NFL at this point)

The guys got ridiculous talent around him at most every position. Some positions have depth of talent. The Eagles have an old roster, a QB mess, and are needing to shed tens of millions in cap this offseason.

Which one should Day pick?

I think there is going to be lots of reports of coaches the Eagles are interested in, followed by lots of reports of coaches turning down an interview with the Eagles because they are a dysfunctional mess right now.

They’ve done everything possible to make head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles as unattractive as possible.
If the Eagles are smart they hire a cast away HC like Del Rio to come in and get his ass kicked for 2 years. That will get them through cap hell and get them likely 3 straight top 10 picks. Then fire Del Rio and all the talent they should have drafted and make their "dream" hire at that point. No one is going to succeed next season with a potential QB controversy, no cap space to fill holes but actually create a lot of them, and maybe one limited offseason to try to install a new accountability system.

So for those reasons I expect Lurie to go after the biggest fish he can right now and destroy that guys NFL future.

How bad is Texas that he would take that job over them?
NFL > NCAA when you have already won the NCAA. Go get a giant payday without having to do any work, and in two years you don't even have to fake illness. JAX will just fire him and pay off the contract, so get 4-5 years now full guaranteed and he's set.

Jacksonville has the #1 pick. Justin Fields anyone?
I see them being dumb enough to do that. Smart money would be to trade with the Jets so they can get sunshine, add a little draft capital, and still get Fields at #2.

Ohhhh....the Process!!

I can’t disagree, but I know that Lurie won’t be so savvy. Gold Standard means no steps back so you can take two steps forward.

Day isn't going anywhere. The funny part will be when they interview Cowboys OC Kellen Moore. Oh the panic in Dallas potentially losing Moore would be a joy.
