Ryan Day to the Eagles?

Day isn't going anywhere. The funny part will be when they interview Cowboys OC Kellen Moore. Oh the panic in Dallas potentially losing Moore would be a joy.
I'll fucking pay his airfare to fly him up there for the interview. if you think Dallas fans fear losing moore you aren't paying attention.

That would be a bad pick.
But it would make sense. They need a QB and Fields is likely a top 5 pick.

Though, personally, I'm hoping Fields drops to the Lions.

NFL > NCAA when you have already won the NCAA. Go get a giant payday without having to do any work, and in two years you don't even have to fake illness. JAX will just fire him and pay off the contract, so get 4-5 years now full guaranteed and he's set.

This

If he has no success in the NFL it won't tarnish his NCAA career.

Nobody underachieves like tejas. NOBODY!!!

I think there is going to be lots of reports of coaches the Eagles are interested in, followed by lots of reports of coaches turning down an interview with the Eagles because they are a dysfunctional mess right now.

They’ve done everything possible to make head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles as unattractive as possible.
I thought being a dysfunctional mess was a requirement for membership in the NFC East. Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder lobbied so hard for it the other two gave in.

Why all the interest in Urban Meyer?
I was wondering the same thing. But hey, he's got more college creds than KK and Rhule so there's that.

Maybe they are trying to use the hire to put butts in the seats.

Still think Jacksonville may be buying a pig in a poke. There is a hell of a lot less of a talent gap in the NFL than there is in CFB. He won't have more talent than the majority of his opponents like he did at tOSU.

Georgia underperforms but not at the level and the length of time like Texas, USC, Michigan or Florida.
I don't know. Class ranking to acheivement rank, I'd say Georgia wins. Sure, the other teams have had worse years but we also haven't recruited to their level:

Recruiting class ranks of Georgia:

2015: 6
2016: 6
2017: 3
2018: 1
2019: 2
2020: 1
2021: 3

They also have multiple conference championship appearances, a conference championship, a playoff appearance and a national championship game appearance.

They have a single conference championship since 2006 - the same year they also played in the national championship game. In that span, Florida, LSU and Alabama have more. Which means beyond that single season, their biggest accomplishment is winning the weak division in the SEC.

In fact, I just went back and looked. Since 2006 Georgia has had only 2 classes rank outside the top 10; the lowest rank being 13th. That's crazy.

How many times has Michigan won the B1G since 2006? How many CCG have they made it to even when they were in a division without Ohio State? How many playoff appearances have they made?

I agree with you, but the fact that Texas and USC aren’t recruiting at Georgia’s level counts against them IMO. They’re more of a brand and have loads of talent at their doorstep. Underperforming on the recruiting trail at blue blood programs in talent rich areas shouldn’t be something to give a team a pass.

It's going to be less, for sure. But this isn't just comparing w/l or accomplishments. UGA has accomplished a lot more than Michigan in that time. But we're comparing "the least with the most". And while we recruit well, it's no where in the ballpark of UGA. I just went back and looked. Since 2006 Georgia has had only 2 classes rank outside the top 10; the lowest rank being 13th. To only have a single conference championship in that time frame given the talent they bring in, is crazy. Michigan's highest class rank is #4. Georgia's beat that every class in the last 4 years.

Why are you going back so far?
And there’s that whole Alabama dynasty deal in the same conference

2005 was the last UGA conference title. So I went from 2006 - present. And unlike us vs. OSU, UGA has actually out-recruited Alabama in 3-4 year cycles. Technically, on paper, UGA has the better 4 year class than Alabama right now. UGA's 2017-2020 recruiting class average is 1.75. Alabama's is 2.25. The same is true for next year as well.

And it’s almost as if they have one of the greatest coaches in college football history in their conference during that time.

Harbaugh has had more top ten classes than not and he is still giving up 60 points a game to Ohio State, and we know damn well they would be pushing the century mark this year against that shitty ass defense.

Michigan has had 5 top 10 classes since 2012 and has only finished in the top 10 once, at #10, all while getting a free bump in rankings because of their name.
