its snow. shovel a small path and gun the fucking car....

is there ice under the snow?
We got way more snow than usual, so it's sitting in these big piles. Plus, the snow plows push the piles even higher, and right up alongside where the drivers side door is for all the parked cars. So you're left with this little tunnel that you have to back into precisely or you'll get beached. And people don't know how to 1) drive on snow or b) parallel park in the first place

The sun isn't out so it's not going anywhere until Thursday at the earliest.

It's pretty packed, so it's a lot like ice. And it's snowing again right now. Temps aren't going to get much higher than 34 today. And these idiot construction guys down the block are flooding the street for some unknown reason.

It's hard for me to get a decent picture with my phone, but they've got two hoses coming out of the building. I thought they were trying to melt all the snow in front of the building for a truck to come in or something, but they're sitting in the same place. My house is blocked because of the speed bump but the rest of the street down to the intersection is a lakeIMG_20210202_115824.jpg

Your Price
$1,599.99

Just gotta find the measurey thing to make sure 66" fits in the current space.

I just got a 70" Samsung for $999 from Costco with 3 years insurance plus concierge service (whatever that means).

Had to order and assemble a larger stand, which was a pain in the ass. Took me 4 hours.

I think they have the sony one @Camfantasy directed me to yesterday, only it's the costco version (Sony 75" Class - X90CH Series - 4K UHD LED LCD TV), whatever that means. I have 5 days to pull the trigger or until they run out.
And if I put it on my Costco Visa, I'll get some rewards money back 🤑

WTF with taxes and W2's? How do they even make any sense?
What's the difference between
1. Wages, Tips & Other Comp
2. Social Security Wages
3. Medicare Wages & Tips
4. State Wages & Income
And why are they almost all different (some by quite a lot)? And what number do I use when lending institutions ask what my income is?
They won’t likely use any of them for anything other than confirmation of income stability. They’ll use your paystub for your actual rate of pay. Box 1 excludes non-taxed income, such as healthcare or 401K deductions. Social security wages are closer to what they’ll use.

@moxie makes bank. Will you marry me???

1) Wages income is after any 401k deductions/Health Ins/FSA non taxable items.

i.e if you make 100k and those come to say..25k.. it will say 75k

The other ones should go in line with your real income unless you make enough to hit the threshold of no more withholding and right now I forget those amounts

FICA (SS TAx is around 150k i think)
Medicare is around 200k i think for wage threshold.

For lending insitutions - if you are paid bi weekly - take your gross pay from your pay check and multiply is by 26 if you are paid weekly multiply is by 52.
And then divide by 12. They’ll base your ratios off your monthly gross.

If you order online, they will deliver it free and set it up, which means they'll unbox it, plug it in and turn it on. That's it. In setting it up, they want you to integrate with Alexa for voice controls and want you to agree that they can track what you watch and what you do online. I skipped that part.

The biggest thing is that you may have to get a new and much larger stand for it.

run over the pros and cons on rtings then google that model to read some reviews. There is usually some really good information and some knowledgeable people on AVSforum. You can usually find a good conversation others have had to read on avs about that product. They may give it the thumbs up or give you an idea of another to consider. Those guise know a lot more than I do.

I guess that's what also sucks about being hourly - my monthly gross isn't always the same. The difference between what I'm supposed to make and what I actually make is just over 10% (if anyone trusts my maths  )
