I also just HATE leaving dirty dishes around. Like will clean then before eating hate. All those years working in kitchens and having parents who got on us about chores actually paid off for something.
hehehe... when I'm trying to run a load, I start walking around the house, hoping to find a random glass I left somewhere to fill the machine.

Starting to get a lil retarded...

-36 currently. Standing temp. of -17.

Aaaaand there's still school.

wait, what day is it? did I miss anything between page 116 to 170?

Oh, I thought of you yesterday... there's a martial arts place in a nearby strip mall that put one of those white tents with the plastic window that the restaurants are using so the kids could do their karate chops outside, socially distanced. Thought that was pretty smart of them.

If the health department allows it, that's a great idea for places that have enough space for a tent.

Dishwashers should really be renamed dish sanitizers unless they have a food-grinder/garbage disposal unit built in.
You peasants need to get better dishwashers.

I mean, the beater dishwasher that came with the house, which I am only replacing because it's falling apart and I can't buy new parts for it anymore, washed just about everything. Would only have problems getting guacamole and creamed spinach off of dishes.

New one gets installed Saturday. End of an era. Actually was surprised it only took a week to get it to us, apparently dishwashers are on some kind of backorder because freezers and shit got prioritized at the start of the pandemic.

There's supposed to be a really cool old suspension bridge leading from the WV side. Gonna talk a walk across that if the weather's not too chilly
Very possible. You're gonna be right near the top tip of WV, like able to throw a stone into both Ohio and PA tip.

They are in a shortage. My co-worker had to wait 3 months until he finally got his last week.

We have a high end dishwasher. Just not one with a food grinder. When/if this one dies, I want that feature... pee-ant.

The one we bought does have that feature.

Unfortunately, we would have had to wait until who knows when to get it in white, which would match the other appliances in the kitchen. But they had plenty in stainless steel, so we paid the extra $50 for stainless, and I guess when the stove and fridge crap out, we'll be replacing those with stainless now, as well.

beach weather here

That weather tease is designed to attract more people to come in so they can freeze their asses off.

i was a professional dishwasher for years. even with industry grade quipement, you have to make sure what you put in is free of debris.

I'm getting close to needing a new oven, the temperature is starting to get inconsistent, although the burners are still fine. I'm trying to decide whether to just get the oven and wait to replace the fridge and dishwasher, just 'cause they're still working just fine, or do it all at once to ensure a uniformity of appliances.

Now that we are talking appliances... does the cubic measurements for a refrigerator mean anything, really? I just have to make sure the LxHxW fits in the space, right?

Stainless is a marketing ploy. I'm pissed that you saps made me change my style.

If you like magnets on your fridge, whenever you replace your fridge with stainless, take a magnet with you to make sure they'll stick. Magnets won't stick to many brands of stainless steel fridges (or at least they didn't used to, maybe things have changed).

Eh. The old washing machine got rid of just about everything. Occasionally, we'd find food stuck on the odd spoon or bowl, but the plates and glasses were pretty much flawless. I did have to run a cleaning cycle with a cup full of vinegar sometimes to help clean out the gunk, and I probably didn't keep it on a schedule enough (I'd only run a cleaning cycle when I noticed particles left on glasses). And I wouldn't leave like giant hunks of meatloaf on a plate. But if the dishwasher can't rinse stuff off that my faucet can, that's a machine problem.

We did them as they broke/needed to be replaced. Thought we were going to have to do the stove first, but it was fridge, stove, dishwasher.

Honestly, I don't even notice or care enough about the appliances, so I'm going to be the wrong person to ask here, but we're going to do it the same way. We run things till the wheels fall off. Unless I'm trying to sell the house, I don't care whether everything matches.
