ACC Basketball

I knew the ACC was ass but this really sums it up.

Virginia/FSU both have 3 Q1 wins.

My squads Marquette/Minnesota are both flirting with sub .500 ball and have 4 each.

You would need 4-5 ACC teams outside the top 2 to equal the Q1 total of BE and Big10 bottom feeders. LOL.

ACC should be ashamed that Ga Tech is the 4 seed. Lmao.

Meh, they've played well since those 2 opening losses. I guess they just needed to figure out who they were.

They have played better since those early losses, but I think it's a better indicator of how mediocre the league has been this year.

This. It’s a different team now. You see it every year in college basketball. Some teams start slow and then figure it out later in the year. Seems to be the case for GT

Yep. And this is exactly the scenario the college football purists want to avoid. Can't have any of this "teams getting hot" for the playoffs and undoing all the good work the other teams did during the sacred "regular season."

Nice to see Ga Tech back in the tournament.

My dad works in the hospitality industry in Greensboro

He's saying that the top four teams are staying at the Grandover, while everyone else is staying at the Sheraton Four seasons..except for Duke. Duke is driving back and forth from their campus. Wake is located in f'n Winston-Salem, and they will be staying at a hotel. Coach K is trying to sabotage the GOAT tournament and the NCAA tournament

Virginia wins their 5th ACC Championship in 8 seasons

They'll be out on day 1 anyway

ACC doesn't recognize regular season titles, it's all about the tournament

That's pretty stupid of the ACC. Regular season title is far more impressive IMO.

if it wasn't for the ACC tournament, you'd be watching tennis, golf and NBA basketball during March Madness. When it comes to the ACC, just nod and say thank you

and now with 15 schools in the ACC, the regular season schedules tend to be unbalanced

The NCAAT is older than the ACCT.

Regardless, the ACC should reward the regular season champ and not just whoever got hot for 3 days

nobody watched it back then

NC State owned the southern conference and the early ACC, and yet sometimes they played in the NIT. That tells you all you need to know about the NCAAT before the ACC came along and revolutionized the sport.

and nah, conference regular season champions is a retarded concept unless your league is round robin. The conference tournament is the correct way to crown a champion in college basketball. I mean, nobody crowns the #1 ranked team in the country on selection day as the national champion, right?

There are no national standings. Conference championships aren’t based on polls

I think the regular season championship means more, but nobody ever remembers who won the regular season title for mostly any league. It's sad but true.

But TBH, people don't really remember the tournament champion either unless it was some underdog run.

The truth is that everything sets up for the NCAA tournament, which is just how the sport is.

Getting a #1 seed is something people remember though.

But making the Final 4 versus winning a conference championship ... no comparison.

that's what you got out of my post?

less attention on that and more attention on me blowing the ACC
