Big Ten Basketball

Yeah, this has the makings of a 2015-2016 type of season, upcoming here.
transfer portal is going to be full after a crazy year, right coach could plug some holes with transfers without tying up scholarships for future recruiting cycles to get his guys in

That's true. But unless we get Muss, I won't hold out hope on any of the transfers making a significant impact. We've been burned by transfers a ton with Pitino.

I still think Minnesota should get DeVries. You probably keel Robbins, get Tucker DeVries to boot and maybe flip Sandfort from Iowa. And he may bring along some of the good underclassmen Drake has

Transfers were mixed bag for Pitino
Good
Robbins
Springs
Johnson

Neutral, not great, not bad
Stockman
Gach

Bad
Squirrel
Guard from Milwaukee (although he helped us beat the badgers, so that almost made it worth it)
Lofton
Lynch (good on court, terrible off court)

Just off top of my head

I haven't heard his name leaked anywhere.

I don't think anyone is privy to Coyles, but

It rumored that we have an interview lined up with Gates.

I'm guessing any info on DeVries wouldn't leak til Drake exits the tourney .

I think Stockman could be put in the bad category. He didn't do much. Demir also wasn't very good along with the guy from A&M, can't remember his name. I'm not sure who you're referring to with squirrel. Carr, Robbins and Springs were huge though I'd agree with that.

Stockman had some valuable minutes as a back up. I'll change scale and give it a D, or a neutral minus

squirrel was nickname, was blanking carlos morris

Carr also worked out as transfer well.

A&M, didn't he get hurt? Also had Payton Willis, whose one season was fine, but tying up scholarship for 2 years to get ok bench guy....

Yeah Morris was bad.

The A&M guy did get hurt, but once he played there was no real impact, which could have been because of his injuries, but he didn't really do anything at A&M before arriving. And yeah agree on Willis, then he leaves after his one year of playing. In the grand scheme of things, I just wish Pitino had recruited better. Landing Coffey and Oturu was huge, but outside of that, it wasn't anything all that spectacular IMO.

Murphy was a pretty damn good find. But that was probably more luck than anything.

Yeah, it was, but he only committed because Shaka left VCU for Texas.

rumor going around that Indiana has offered Brad Stevens a 10 year, $70 million dollar contract

and Stevens is at least listening to Indiana about the opening. Apparently the last time the IU job was open, Stevens gave them an immediate no.

i don't think Stevens takes the job, but this could be an interesting follow

Stevens isn't going to Indiana. Everyone needs to move on from that.
