VGK

Looks like Reeves got himself Djangoed there

FUCK! They just tied it up with a minute remaining.

Checking on the ESPN gamecast lol

I said that I would be surprised if we lost more than 2 out of the next 9...so far so good, no losses. With that said, 3 of the last 4 have gone to OT, but can't complain about wins. I still think 2 is probably reasonable for the remaining 3 games in that span, but who knows.

I'm already looking toward St Louis.

So we did end up dropping 2 games in that timeframe, both to the Wild, not too shocked. The Wild are coming up a bit.

Fun fact: Vegas has played the Blues 13 times in their short history and have a record of 7-6. The fun part of that fact, 5 of those 7 wins came in overtime. Any time we play the Blues, I worry lol.

@Peter Gozintite - could this be the year? I don't want to get ahead of myself and I know the divisions kind of suck... a lot, but this seems like the best team since the inaugural season. Probably looks that way given no crossovers. Playoffs are going to be insanely difficult to pick this year since there hasn't been any crossovers, but as of RIGHT NOW, I feel good about winning the Western Conference. The Avs and the Leafs are the biggest concerns. Again, not trying to get ahead of myself.

The was a beatdown of a 3rd period. VGK wins 5-1, but easily could have put a 6 or 7 spot on the board with some better passes. I like where Vegas is at when playing St Louis right now.

Also nice to see people in the stands again.

I cant respond to this post properly, without furthering your already impending jinx. Dont speak of this again!!!

Could have used Stephenson out there last night.

@dbldwn711 - you're in Vegas, right? Do you root for the Golden Knights or do you just not really care?

Ever been to a game?

I love the knights. I watch just about every game. I’ve been to one game. It was against the Bruins. I’ve been to lots of hockey games in my lifetime. I’ve never seen a stadium put on a “show” like they did at the knights game. I grew up in Boston and they basically had an organist playing stuff to get the crowd excited. The knights have legit entertainment just about every time there is a whistle.

Yeah, I love their playoff pregame shows.

I'm watching the Wild game right now.

haha

I am too
The Wild is an interesting team. IIRC, I picked them as my fourth playoff team in the West, but they are up there with Vegas and Colorado... if they hit a stride, they could finish first. Hard team to gauge right now.

playoff hockey is so much different than regular season hockey

what’s your connection to them? Why do you follow them?
Well, I never really had a team. Always leaned toward the Blackhawks or the Islanders, but never really thought of them as my team. Then the Vegas shooting happened, the hockey team came out before a real game had even been played and did a bunch to help raise spirits, they were a team of players not worthy of protection that made a spectacle in honor of the city and went to the Finals in year one when no one really even gave them a chance to make the playoffs. They seemed to just run on hype or a drive that felt like a brotherhood connection and I just really liked and respected that. So then I started rooting for them throughout the season, the playoffs (then I saw the pregame playoff shows which were awesome lol).... and I felt comfortable enough to say that they are my team.

It just felt right. I still like the Blackhawks and Islanders, but it isn't the same as it is with VGK. I actively root for the Knights and get excited annnnnd I just more or less hope the Blackhawks and Islanders win lol.

Edit: I'm not a Vegas resident, but I would imagine that what Vegas was able to do in that first season was about as much as a sports franchise could do to rally a city together. Just awesome effort.
