Agreed on everything. I'm off the belief it's close enough that you can call them even or one marginally better than the other. Basically the same tier. It was a good conversation, and I never try to be smarter than the room guy. Just like having debates.

Few has been contacted for more prestigious jobs than Oregon but didn't even entertain them. Oregon is the only phone call he took and met with the AD for. Few grew up outside Eugene and went to UO. If that wasn't enough to convince him to leave Gonzaga, chances are he isn't leaving Gonzaga unless he wants a shot at the NBA.

I don't think Few would consider UNC, at all.

I didn’t compare the two jobs. Never once did I say Oregon=UNC. Reading is an important skill.

I said if he wouldn’t take the Oregon job years ago it doesn’t make sense that he would take the UNC job. Where in that did I say the two were the same playing field in terms of programs?

I put my big boy panties on and still never said UNC and Oregon were remotely on equal playing fields. Me saying if he didn’t leave for Oregon then, it doesn’t make sense now. Again, doesn’t mean they are on equal grounds as programs.

I remember when I couldn't turn ESPN on without hearing how "Shaka" was the greatest thing since John Wooden. Now he's excited to be going to Marquette? Dude is absurdly overrated.
 
Cincy should hire Archie Miller. His Indiana run obviously didn't work out, but he still had three top 50 teams at Dayton. He could take Cincy to the top of the AAC on a regular basis.

That is what I wrote. What reverse is there? A guy was getting recruited by Nike to go coach at his alma mater in his prime as a coach. For any professional, the Oregon job at that time and where he was in his career was 10 times more appealing than UNC at the current day and his current situation.
