I wish I could get my wife to go for those.

Instead, she opts for the 11 O'clock on Sundays. Too late.

I used to go to Sunday morning mass with my buddy and his wife, who was a teacher at the Catholic school, so she had to go.

then they changed the times for mass and it kept us from getting done in time to get breakfast at the local greasy spoon...so we stopped going to mass.

All this religion talk.

Pissening.
agree to disagree. i'm currently in the process of starting up a brujeria sect to take on that lutheran church.

gonna be a fun holy war.

Did you have the stand in line confessions with the red light above the confessionals?
Maybe when we first joined the particular church we were in, but I don't remember if they kept them when they renovated.

Think the last time I went to confession was in high school, though.

Don't know if this has been done, didn't read the 18 pages. Anyway Happy Birthday @HammerDown. You would have been 93 today.

Confession was yuge in my elementary school days. Couldn't level up my religion score and get to bread level without doing that like 3-4 times a year in school.

Yep, our new (20-year-old) church doesn't have them. There's a service for reconciliation now, as you probably know. You can still get a private confession by request.

The old cathedral in town still has them, of course.

Saturday afternoons.

Yup. Usually about 4 O'clock. Needed to be with a day of Mass.
pfffffft, we had the priest on speed dial going to a catholic school. We told him when to block off his schedule for the children.
