Hooters Girls Beer GIF by Hooters

"Hi girls, how you guys doing today? Why, yes! I'd love a gigantic cold beer. Oh, it's happy hour? Hell, I may even have a second!"

And then you eat the slop they ladle out of the pig trough.

Yes, Cali.

Wow!!!

I ... I definitely didn't expect it to be that easy. You really must have a good buzz goin'!!!

Those hashbrowns sound great. Let's put some salsa on them, too.

They're awesome!
Salsa sounds good to me, but I'm not sure if that's an option (and I'm not sure what I think of the idea of what Waffle House's salsa would be). Over the last decade, or so, they added a bunch of new options. The options used to just be "scattered, smothered, covered, and chunked*."

(chunked is li'l cubes of ham)

nice!
my grandpa built 3 houses in/around kalispell -
my brother still lives in one out in evergreen,
down helena flats road -

i used to love floating the river
from presentines down to lydecks (sp?) -

cheers!
Pressentine Bar to Old Steel Bridge? Not sure what Lydex is. Not many serviceable take-outs past Old Steel.

Who was the poster on tHoop who was so defensive about how great Chipotle was. Was that :thumper:

Dude was unreal.

I eat chipotle probably more than most, especially when traveling, but comparing a slop-filled burrito to actual mexican food... no way. Best mexican I've had outside of Mexico is in Los Angeles... wonder why.

I agree, it's good food. And you can even make it healthy if you want. But it isn't mexican.

Tastes great though. I get it a few times per month. Well, since I've been back in the US at least.

I haven been to a Waffle House in a long time, but the Texas melt and hash browns are awesome.

Also a big fan of Pho, but I don't know of any national chains.

Anyone had Crisp and Juicy in the DC area? Puruvian chicken with tasty sauces. Good stuff.

I don't get the attraction to Chipotle and never have, never will. It's the most bland "Mexican" food I've ever had and the portions-to-cost is paltry at best. The overall value is nonexistent. It's expensive and not good. I feel like the price is double what it should be for what you get.

So if you could eat at any chain, you'd go to Waffle House?
Without question. Where else can you watch you food being prepared while playing Family Tradition 10 times in a row on the jukebox?

That Texas Cheesesteak Melt with a double order of hashbrowns with mushrooms and onions, ain't no chain beating that.

All this talk of Waffle House just made me check, once again, to see if the non-stop flight between SFO and Kentucky had been reinstated, yet.

No, I'm not kidding.

It's one of the things I look most forward to when I go back to visit family (other than, you know, seeing my family, or at least some them, lol).

i looked on the satellite map -
there's a park there now called
spruce park on the river -
theres a steep bank of rock
that we'd drag the boat up -
i think grandpa used to call it lybecks
cause that who lived near the access pt -
access is completely changed now -
used to be able to access via east evergreen,
and get off near the north end of the park thats there now,
probably along that tree line -

All these years of posting with you, and I never knew you were such a weirdo about waffles and pancakes.

That aside, if you don't like waffles, go for the hasbrowns.
I'd suggest "scattered, smothered, and covered," for a classic take, or if you want to be a bit more contemporary, you can add "peppered" and/or "capped."

I know you don't know what that means, but this is one of those times you should just nod and say, "yes, Cali."
I don't trust anyone that doesn't like waffles.
