Favorite Sandwich/the one you always order

I only order a shit sandwich. But then I forget how bad it is and get suckered in by mass marketing about every 4 years. Only to be reminded how much I hate it.
 
One of the delis near where I grew up makes a killer sandwich.

Pastrami, provolone (hot read by me, it comes with Swiss on the menu but provo >>>>>>), cole slaw, Russian dressing. A "half" feeds 2 people, easy. This is their Italian, below.

One of my favorite sandwich shops is called Po-Boy Express and my two favorites is their Philly Cheesesteak Supreme....

This thread has got me thinking about finding a good one around here. I have a NY steak in the fridge that I was thinking of converting, but don't want it to be all dry & gross.

I do not :pout:
But in a pinch, I'll put a steak in the freezer for a spell then I can slice it super thin and to "cook" it, I dunk it into the broth for a few seconds.

I thought Bennigan's went out of business completely.

Used to have a Monte Cristo close to where I worked. Places that have it disclose it has around 1,500 calories now. Keeps me from ordering it now.

The only locations left in Texas are in small towns near Odessa and Amarillo.

I’ve never been able to hand slice it thin enough. Always ends up bein more of a fajita sandwich with peppers, onions and cheese. Which is damn good in its own right.
 
The Monte Cristo is one sammich I just don't get? I mean...I'd eat the shit, if that's all there was, but, goddamn, keep yer breakfast with yer breakfast ffs!?:biggrin:

Bennigans is actually the closest chain restaurant to me. Not shitting you.

It’s in a hotel just south of CMU’s football stadium. Essentially functions as a hotel bar. Had a great time in there a couple years ago when Syracuse was in town. Prolly 50 parents of football players visiting MidMichigan for the first time, ready to party.

Only 15 left in the US, something like 18-20 in Latin America.
