Rtings says it's a good set for the most part. Says it has mediocre viewing angles so you should be accepting of that drawback if you want it. If most of your actual viewing is on axis I wouldn't worry about that too much. Just keep an eye on how much that is going to bother you for the first few days and take it back if it's bothersome.


Mediocre viewing angles. Despite having Sony's 'X-Wide Angle' layer to improve viewing angles, gamma shift still happens fairly quickly when moving off-center. It should be okay for most rooms, but not for large rooms with wide seating arrangements.

Goddamn son of a bitch. I just looked at Costco's site and the 85" is on sale for $1,999 but they're out of stock. :mad2: And they are the X90CH series, but I don't know if that just means they were made for costco or what. They always have some kind of goofy model number.

I think it's the same. They have those funky unique model numbers to keep them from having to price match other companies for something. Kind of fucked up if you think about it.

Or I should use the costco visa more and see how much rewards money I can rack up.
