2021 NBA Playoffs

First round- starting PG Jrue Holiday only played 55 total minutes in that series coming off a stress fracture in his right tibia

Second round- starting PG Mike Conley missed game one with a facial fracture & starting SF Tony Allen played just five minutes over the last two games due to a sore left hamstring

Third round- they were without starting PG Patrick Beverly & back-up C Dontatas Motiejunas & Dwight Howard played through a torn meniscus

Finals- Cavs were without Kevin Love & Kyrie got injured during the Finals

As far as CP3's reaction after advancing to the Finals. He was celebrating something that took him 16 seasons to accomplish. He's not the first or last NBAer that has or will celebrate after advancing to the Finals.

Those cats are not Anthony Davis Kwahi and possibly Giannis tho. I get what you’re saying but the Dubs we’re gonna beat those teams anyway. And Not one of those injuries in 2015 was the best player on their team like the Suns saw this year. Not to mention it’s a year unlike the NBA has ever seen.

But CP3 flexing after beating those teams without those studs is laughable. I expect a good series without Giannis. With him it’s a 5 game series Bucks win maybe 6

Doesn't matter if they were the best on their team or not. Any playoff caliber team would have some problems if starters are missing.

"the Dubs we're gonna beat beat those teams anyway"

Yes a 100% healthy Dubs team more than likely takes care of business in '19. But they weren't healthy. And same with '15. Not sure the Dubs beat a 100% healthy Cavs team. <---that's something nobody has the answer to

Since you have an issue with how the Suns got to the Finals got a couple questions about the Finals from back in the day.

Should the Lakers '88 title has an asterisk because the Pistons best player Isiah "zeke' Thomas badly rolled his ankle during the series? Should the '91 Bulls have an asterisk since starters J. Worthy & B. Scott were banged up for that series?

The answer to both questions is of course not. And the same will apply for the Suns if they can take care of business.

Show me in the history of the NBA where a team ran through the playoffs against 3 teams with each opposing team had 1 HOFer out. Unless you don’t think AD Kwahi and Giannis are HOFers

“Doesn’t matter if it’s the best player on the team”?? That’s some funny shit

It’s all good. I agree with you injuries happen. But CP3 flexing after beating teams with those guys out is funny. And it’s not what you do with more b-ball left to play. It’s not my issue. It’s gonna be his unless Giannis is out too.

It’s been a crazy last what… 12 Months basically 2 seasons in the NBA?

James Worthy averaged over 20 points in the first 3 games of the 1991 finals. Lol

If Magic Johnson is out for that entire 1991 series dam right it’s looked at differently. If Bird was out for a Finals against Magic, it wouldn’t have been Magic vs Bird

Hell I love me some Worthy. Very underrated. Saw him play live at the old Forum

I gave you some examples of Finals where teams had to deal with injuries to key players. But it seems you think that any team will be okay missing players as long as it's not the best player on the team. If that's not the case then my bad. Just that's how it seems to me.

And again CP3 was celebrating after finally getting to the Finals after 16 seasons. He's not the only NBAer that's had that kinda reaction after winning a conference final.

And since you chopped off the end of my comment I'll repeat it.

"Doesn't matter if they were the best player on their team or not. Any playoff caliber team would have some problems if starters are missing."

Or do you disagree that a team would have some issues to deal with missing starters? Not just about a teams best player out. That was my point. Perhaps I phrased it wrong.

Im not sure what you’re trying to say now. Lol

Any team missing top 10 players in the league during the playoffs are going to have serious challenges. Starters too.

But where in the history in the NBA has a team not faced the top player on an opposing team in 3 of those series and these are all future HOFers? Do you seriously not see it?

Yes injuries happen. Look at these playoffs after a season that followed last years playoffs. That’s a lot of b-ball.

regardless, I guess you have to understand the concept of over confidence and staying focused. You don’t celebrate and flex until you win the whole thing. Yes many people have celebrated conference titles… and that’s as far as they got

@Wamu

perfect example here of what NOT to do :L unless of the course western conference champs was the goal…. Then bravo Phoenix

I like Chris Paul. Dude can still ball and leading this team shows his leadership. His performance in the western finals was bad ass. Unfortunately his jawing, crying to refs, and flopping take away from that performance. That and he was celebrating like he just won the whole thing. Bad move when you have more b-ball to play.

it’s hilarious yes Smokey that you don’t understand what it means to not celebrate too early.
Keep yappin', squeaky. We know you're pissed, you hate Paul

Huh? You make no sense. AD? Duh hell you smokin smokey?
Did you forget that Lebron James plays for the Lakers?

Yoooz a dumb. Anthony Davis is every bit a top 10 player Smokey. It’s debatable he’s now better than Lebron

"Yes injuries happen"

That's my whole point. The Suns had no control over who they've faced in the playoffs in any round. I'm not going to diminish their run to the Finals. As far as the celebrating got no problem with it at all.

This has been a helluva turnaround in a short period of time for this team. Just a couple of years ago pretty sure they had back to back 60-loss seasons. I can understand why the players and fans are excited.

lol he's not. nobody with eyeballs and a brain thinks Anthony "always hurt" Davis is better than Lebron James. You're reaching hard because you hate Chris Paul so much. and besides, I'm not saying that Davis isn't a top-10 player, when he's healthy, he surely is. But Lebron is still Lebron, and correct me I'm wrong, he played in that series vs. the Suns, did he not? Matter of fact, outside of game 5, Lebron averaged around 38 minutes per game (I believe he only played 32 in game 5), so yeah, the Suns beat a team with Lebron at the helm, a definitive top-10 player.

Well…. If you READ my post it said AD is a top 10 player and he was out. Huge piece missing. Lebron is Lebron but now he’s in his upper 30s my man. AD has a case.

Kwahi out as well. The entire point was celebrating too early and flexing with more games to be played. Little did I know after CP3 blew his load that night, the city of Phoenix had a parade.

bwhahaha. Wow that is funny I love it

Did Boston ever have a parade for an eastern conference finals? You will understand soon but I am surprised you don’t.

Lebron is in his upper 30's? Well shit, so is Chris Paul, lol

Now, I'll admit, I didn't know about any parade they had, so if they actually did have a legitimate parade, that's pretty ridiculous, and i would agree that they need to stay focused on the REAL prize.

Really? So you're trying to compare the Celtics who have won titles in the '50's, '60's, 70's, '80's & '00's to a franchise that's never won anything? All I can do is laugh at that odd comparison.

And I understand what you're doing. You don't like CP3. So you're going to be overly critical about him and the Suns.

Chris Paul is the third best player on the Suns.

But has the most commercials.
