Wednesday Morning with an NBA game tonight

I do find it interesting that pretty much every private business has figured out how to get shit done during this pandemic, but governmental functions have essentially ground to a halt. Nothing gets done.
That’s funny because I was told the insane cost of goods was due to the pandemic… which are private businesses

Because some telecommuters end up working from another state (especially with a company located on a state border). Probably easier to have all telecommuters fill out a new W-4 than go through the process of checking with each individual employee about primary work space.

Not to mention then you are signing/attesting to your primary workspace and any tax liability for lying about it is on you and not your employer.
Damn you and your sound logic!

Went to see a movie in a theatre for the first time in a couple of years. Matinee, we were the only people in there, which is a first.

Quiet Place II, solid flick.

I'm a stock holder in local horse track.

it's taken few years, but not counting tiny divedends I've collected, it's finally worth more than I paid

I'm up ~1.00/share

You must practically own the whole track

I was assuming

Fish and gob thought it was funny just play along
I think you missed the actual joke...

I initially claimed that none of the big 4 sports have games on the day before or after the MLB ASG.

that has been shown to be incorrect this year.

The Cinemark theater by me did Private Watch Parties during the pandemic. For $100 or $150, depending on the movie, you got the whole theater to yourself and could have 20 people watch with you. We did that a few times. Pretty slick.

Saw Tom & Jerry that way, which sucked giant, dirty, donkey cock.

Basic tenet. Private always finds a way.

We just found out someone on staff moved to another fucking country and was working remotely from there. That person no longer has access to our systems.
This is exactly the reason why employers who are making telecommuters permanent would make everyone fill out new forms.

Also, for bigger employers, there are often state tax breaks for keeping the offices in the state. So if a lot of people are working from another state, there are tax consequences for the company. Target, for example, is based out of MN. They get tax breaks from the state for that and thus need to ensure enough of their employees continue to work out of MN, so at least some percentage of their company is going to have to be physically in the office at least part of the time.
