About 5-6 weeks ago while installing some mosquito screens I got a fiberglass splinter in the first joint of my thumb, palm side. Annoying as all get out. This morning I was able to extract it, man that is one of the best feelings. It was only about 1mm long, but in that part of the hand with no muscle or fat it was noticeable when I would bump it.

well, the national guard has a marching band..and apparently they felt the marching band was needed in Iraq

While it sounds weird, nothing but respect to the guy who left country for length of time to go to Iraq, even if it was to play trombone

Got the slide and the ladder done on the swing set. Swings went up earlier this week. Need to get to a hardware store for a lag screw to replace one that must've busted when we moved the thing, but at this point it's basically done, just need to get the roof on the second level.

Just busting your balls. There’s a limited window with those things. For a few years, they’re great. Afterward, it’s like “how do I get rid of this fucking thing”. Fortunately for me, my job relocated just as I got to that point.

I mean, we did take our sweet ass time cleaning it up and putting it back together. Think we've had it for like 4 months now. Only really put like two or three weekends of my time into it.

We'll see how long it keeps my daughter's attention, and I hope it keeps my son entertained until he's that age. If my daughter's still using it when she's nine, we're hoping we can get 8 years out of it. When it's done, it's getting taken apart and going in the trash.
