I'm thinking current SEC members are going to need a primer on the whole horns down thing. Perhaps our new Oklahoma members could give instructional classes.

The fact is the Big 12 media payouts were garbage compared to the SEC and Big 10.
To add to that not one P5 team would have even considered leaving their digs to join that shithole conference. They were limited to mid-majors and that's why they're abandoning ship.
I've been saying all along that they should have gotten the old SWC back together by adding RICE, SMU, Houston, and even UTEP.

You can be sure Delaney would have already pounced on the Jayhawks by now and be making serious strides for either Virginia or North Carolina.

Texas still made more than any school with it's media deal and LHN deal.. but the writing was on the wall with the way the new payouts to the SEC and potential BiG conf will be.

And lol at the BiG picking up anyone else..KU and ISU really gonna increase the next deal? It's not about markets, it's about Brands.. and down the road, tosu, UM will probably leave because they are the ones carrying all the water for that conference

The Big 12 was destined to fail. Those of us that departed all said that 10 years ago, but we were ensured by donghorns that the Big 12 was a secure as ever and that every team would be rolling in cash if they just followed Bevo's lead. LMFAO!!

Yup. tejas made good for itself at everyone else's expense. Those other schools were warned not to vote with them on every damn thing but they trusted the donghorns like idiots. I don't feel sorry for any of them.

Kansas has a national tv appeal in basketball. They'll be a good addition to the Big 10 if Warren don't fuck it up.
