Source: USC Trojans QB Jaxson Dart has surgery to repair meniscus injury, out indefinitely

"USC freshman quarterback Jaxson Dart had surgery to repair a meniscus injury and will be out indefinitely, a source confirmed to ESPN on Thursday.

Three-year starter Kedon Slovis is expected to start against Oregon State on Saturday.

Dart replaced Slovis during the Trojans' 45-14 win at Washington State last Saturday after Slovis was knocked out of the game during the opening drive because of a neck injury.

Dart came off the bench to throw for 391 yards and four touchdowns but injured his right knee in the second quarter. The Kaysville, Utah, native played the second half with a heavy sleeve on it and had a noticeable limp at times." <snip>

That takes care of any potential QB controversy this week... IF they can smack OregonSt around Saturday night. OregonSt (along with Stanford) has given SC numerous headaches over the years.

How long is Dart out?
Last I read it is week-to-week. I guess it was a smaller procedure than originally thought. I would doubt he could play this week or even next. But who knows what the new HC will do... :noidea:

College GameDay heading west for #10 Oregon at UCLA

It's not a great lineup honestly. I believe it was between Oregon/UCLA and Clemson/Pitt.

I think Oregon/UCLA has some more storylines because it's Oregon vs. Chip Kelly.

They made the right choice IMO

I might watch Gameday for the first time in years.

I still probably won't watch it  .

I've been to GameDay in person before when they've come to Eugene, it was cool to take a picture with Corso and Herbie but watching the show on TV isn't all that fun.
