The emails were discovered during an investigation of the WFT. No one went digging for them to spite Gruden. Put the blame where it belongs, on the guy who wrote the emails.

You want to know a huge difference between Watson and Gruden?

NFL players have a union that is obligated to protect them. Even if termination is justified.

Coaches don't have that protection. They are on their own.

If there was an NFL head coaches union, Gruden would still have his job.
