LOL. I'm surprised he hasn't been cancelled from that yet. Because ol' Marshall had some very homophobic rap lyrics, threatened a president and women in his music and *gasp- appropriated black culture!

yeah, quite a few of them quietly agreed with Desean Jackson and Nick Cannon over the summer, including Kevin Durant. Dwayne Wade posted a tweet that supported Nick Cannon. Wade currently hosts a show on TBS.

If you feel he needs to be held accountable for past behavior, knock yourself out. Petition the NFL to have him removed. No one should be without accountability for their actions. Anyone else you’d like to bring up to distract from Gruden’s behavior?

fwiw, i have zero issues with Gruden getting fired and I agree with most of @williewilliejuan's points. If you feel that cancel culture has gone too far, this isn't the case you fight. Pick your battles wisely.

It'd have to be a little more than "quietly". The NBA has more than a bit of a blind spot when it comes to hypocrisy, diversity and human rights.

Nick Cannon dodged a huge bullet with his Antisemitism and not losing his whole career. But the NBA had a huge number of incidents of homophobic slurs, and the penalties ranged from nonexistent to light fines. If anyone cared to investigate something as potentially incendiary as off-the-court conversation, communications and social media posts, the results would likely be appalling.

I give zero fucks about either one of them. Gruden got what he deserved for what he did. If Eminem gets booted from the halftime show for similar issues, he’ll have no one to blame but himself. It’s about personal accountability. Unlike you, I think it should apply to everyone.

Some years ago, "Love the Way You Lie" came under criticism because in it, Eminem supposedly proposed domestic violence, torture and murder -- all assumed from the lyrics (some of which were sung by Rihanna). Also, I think Eminem called his ex-wife a dumb whore or something.

Elements of the far-Left have had a boner for the NFL for a number of years, for some reason.

Honestly they should’ve listened to the players on this one. Most seemed to not care, others were vocally supportive. Only reason he should’ve been fired is if he lost the locker room instead of caving to the Twitter mob.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t an anti nudity rule for pro football cheerleaders. If these pics exist I’d be shocked if those ladies weren’t also fired.
